  1. I have a Samsung DVR SRD-470D and I need to replace one of my dome cameras as the night vision is extremely poor from at 5 metres and I need the area to be nice and clear so a face can be identified if necessary. The reason I'm asking is that there are a lot of modern cameras out here ranging from 2mp -5mp and I'm not sure if they will work with my DVR. Anyone know if they would work or do I need to upgrade my DVR ? Any particularly good cameras for night vision and ones to avoid?
  2. My Samsung SRD-470D dvr keeps rebooting. I can see on the screen the reboot sequence and sometimes it reboots straight away and sometimes it makes it to the end and I can see the pictures from the cameras and it seems to be working. At times it seconds and other times it lasts 20 minutes and then reboots. Has anyone come across this and know how to resolve it?
  3. I have an up and running cctv system using a Samsung 470dp dvr and I have connected it to my pc via an ethernet cable and managed to connect to it using port 8080 and can see images. I have setup port forwarding on the virgin superhub to use port 4520 and port forwarding to the dvrs ip address. It won't connect and the icon in ie just spins around. I use my network ip address in the form 92.237.xx.xx followed by the port number 4520 so http://92.237.xx.xx:4520. This in theory should forward it to the ip address I have assigned to the dvr. It just loops saying waiting for a response from 92.237... etc Has anyone successfully managed to get this working?
