  1. I am new on this forum and am not sure whether I post this topic on the right place.A few days ago, I stumble upon a post talking about needing IP camera recommendations. Then netizen gave a reply for Gigaeye GB150 IP camera for help seeker. I Searched on amazon and found only 2 results: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=gigaeye%20gb150 I just wonder how the Gigaeye GB150 IP camera is. If possible ,I want some for my home security...Thanks.

    ip video transmission

I'm a computer and electronic technician...Lately, I have been installing analog video camera systems with no problem at all...The last installation I did took place in the building I live in. Fortunately for me, my landlord brought the whole video system...I installed 8 cameras inside and outside the building...Now he asked me if I could install ip video cameras...I do have some knowledge about computer ip address for instance but just a little bit of ip video systems...Some of the questions I have would be the following... 1.- Do I need to configure the ip cameras with ip addresses... 2.- Since this new installation requires at least 500 feet of coax cable, do I need a device to bring the video signal from one end to the other end ?... 3.- How I'm going to power the cameras ? I would like to find a good system for putting all these ip video cameras over coax....Any suggestions ?? Thank you for any help....
  3. It has taken my software team 6 months to develop a beta version of a security/management software for cameras. I am excited about the features and the possibilities. I had initially planned on a completely IP camera based solution which removes the capital cost of a DVR (costs add up per location) but am wondering if I should also have the software configured with CCTV cameras also. I need some help in testing the software with various cameras...essentially taking this project to the next stage. Would camera manufactures be interested in having their product compatible with my software and so be convinced to loan me some for testing? I am also looking into forming some partnerships so do message me if interested.
