  1. Bump. Hoping someone can answer a few questions
  2. Hi everyone! I'm part of a team who develops mobile/web applications and websites. We just got a request from a client that will require some form of surveillance. To be perfectly honest, I don't have any experience in this field and was thinking to subcontract this bit to another company. But I'd like to get some idea as to what choices I should make when doing so. Here are my preferred requirements for the hardware: 1. There will be at least 3 cameras. 2. They will probably be outdoor types. (This is in a country with regular rainfall.) 3. Night vision is a bonus but not all that necessary. 4. We'd prefer that the cameras be connected to a Windows based server which we will also be using for other data. 5. The cameras must be able to stream to Android devices (either via API or a ready made application). 6. The lower the price, the better. Here are my questions: 1. What questions should I be asking my client? 2. What brand/brands should I be considering? 3. Is it worth it to install it with my team or is it wiser to have it subcontracted? (we have some IT background) Well, those are the questions I can think of right now. We haven't thoroughly discussed it with our client just yet but I'd still like to get an idea of what I should be looking at. I'm sure that this is little info to go on by but I'd appreciate any answers and If you need more info, I'll try my best to answer any questions you may have. ConfusedAboutIP
