  8. Hi all... I'm a noob in CCTV setup and I'm hoping to get a few advices and guidances from the experts here. A potential customer send us an enquiry. He's is using MAC PC and he's thinking of getting a DVR from us. The DVR we will be providing is using a GeoVision 1480 16ch card. He wants to view the cameras remotely on his MAC. Now..I have no idea whether this will work becasue I have no prior knowledge on MAC PCs. Could anyone advice me whether this is possible? Many thanks in advance to all. Your green noob, Rizal

How to connect TCP/IP source to Geo?

ft_cctv, kindly allow me to borrow your thread here.. rory..i have the exact same situation like what ft_cctv is having. Customer wishes to have DVR system comprising of different camera types and functionality. Currently they're using Axis Cams. So is it possible for me to view the Axis cameras in my DVR? Will be using GeoVision 16ch card. Many thanks in advance for your kind replies.
  10. Hi rory, My company is looking into setting up a DVR/CCTV biz. We have actually closed a few deals already. Currently we don't have any 4ch DVRs so I was thinking of setting up our very own system for customers who only need 4 or less CCTVs. One of our distributors has currently been appointed as the authorised GeoVision DVR card so I caled them up to asked for some quotations. Yes, SGD= Singapore Dollars. I'm not so keen in getting an embedded 4/8 channels type due to the inferior recording quality (if you can recommend me one that is good, then it will change my perception ).
  11. ahh...thanks for the prompt reply rory. called up a local distributor to ask abt the pricing. It's abt SGD$880 over here. Man! Is that expensive or what?
  12. Hi, and how abt a GV card for a 4ch ones? Any recommendations?
