  1. That's interesting. One would assume then that if Hikvision release a new firmware for their current 3mp minibullet to 20fps @ 3mp it'l be on par with Dahua's new cam at the beginning of this topic, minus possibly power consumption maybe (which isnt really an important factor in my case). would be interesting to see how far we could push the technology with firmware hacks etc. Brenning
  2. Thats pretty cool, the hikvision only does 15fps which i guess is only 5fps but still a higher rate. Is the FPS normally limited by firmware or hardware? Brenning
  3. I'd imagine its a British saying. Interesting video, quality seems good. Around 10-12 fps?

What has happened to this forum

To be honest I'm quite impressed with these "cheap" systems from China. I did look at the Avigilion 29mp cameras etc. Great quality but low frame rate and not compact enough etc. For residential use, the "cheap" cameras from China work just fine for me Not sure what peoples beef is really, is it affecting your business as a cctv installer? Times change in any industry, keep up or you'l be left behind, or diversify. I'm sure theres more to it than this, but above is one point of view.
  5. I guess it would be nice to see that image in full res, but if no-one has the full res image then fair do's
  6. Be interesting to see if their claimed 20fps @ 3mp is actually true, or if there have been any improvements in the lense department etc. I soooooo want a 5mp minibullet but looks like technology hasnt got that far yet so I'll have to settle for the 3pm hikvision
  7. Interestingly Dahua has what looks to be the same as hikvisions 3mp minibullet but claims 20 fps (hik = 15) @ 3mp link: http://www.dahuasecurity.com/products/ipc-hfw4300s-398.html Anyone tried them?
  8. Hi All, Any update on this? Has anyone managed to flash the chineese cameras with european / usa firmware? Brenning
