    Genuine Dahua NVR's ?

Luckyfella - thanks for sharing you opinion! I didn't know about Ebay, andI started to get the feeling about this company. After spending more hours doing research (and trying to justify all this time to my wife ) I ran across another distributor mentioned in networkcameracritic's wordpress site - www.hdsecuritystore.com They seem a little more reasonable on the prices...
  2. Thanks Toss for taking the time to get back to me! Not quite sure I understand your response though... FYI, I pasted the system specs directly from the Dahua website. So if they don't make any sense to you, then they would definitely not to a newbie like me...maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree Given what I pasted initially and below again, I'm trying to figure out if one system can handle a higher recording rate running the same amount of cameras (whatever the camera setting is on each, 2MP, 1.3MP etc.) I merely stated 8 cameras @ 2MP to assist with someone doing the math (if that math is possible given what Dahua supplied) Here's the links to the system specs: System 1 Dahua NVR 58xx: "record rate: Max 128Mbps ( eg. 16ch 5MP@8Mbps, 32ch 1080P@4Mbps & etc.)" System 2 Dahua NVR 38xx: "record rate: 400/480fps@D1, 200/240fps@720P , 100/120fps@1080P" System 1 link: http://www.dahuasecurity.com/products/nvr580858165832-301.html System 2 link: http://www.dahuasecurity.com/products/nvr3804-3808-3816-1.html
  3. Thanks for taking a loot at my post! I'm moving forward to purchase a Dahua NVR and I'm wondering if this company is genuine? The photo's don't show any Dahua in the upper left if you're looking at the product, and the nomenclature is different from Dahua's corporate website. http://www.backstreet-surveillance.com So what do you think? I'm a little nervous using them but they seem to have a nice 2 yr. warranty and 3rd party customer reviews
  4. Thanks for taking a look at my post - I'm trying to figure out which NVR system to go with and the record rate specs have me totally confused! I need to go back to the library and grab a book Could someone answer for me which system has a higher frame rate if I am using 8 2MP cameras? System 1: Max 128Mbps ( eg. 16ch 5MP@8Mbps, 32ch 1080P@4Mbps & etc.) System 2: 400/480fps@D1, 200/240fps@720P , 100/120fps@1080P Thanks amigos! (If you want to explain it in toddler terms - that's also appreciated!)
