    Having the same problem with an identical unit! Mine has been switched on and recording but for the first time in months I have tried to access to playback feature and I can't get past menu without a user login? I am having no luck getting past there, the manual says 000000 or 888888 are the defaults but having no luck with them! Have you gotten on since then?
