    Could you see the MASK on the screen where youd marked out,

    and was it in MOTION detection mode, not 24/7....

    Just stick to a Reputable reseller,

    do not buy from ebay

    - they arent allowed to resell thru ebay

     

    Over spec ur pc a bit, dont skimp here, h is cheap

     

    I bought 2 gb ddr2 corsair twinx for 78 bucks other day for a machine

     

    Part your hdd, or use a sep hdd for OS,

     

    Play around a bit on the work bench first,

     

     

    its not that hard.

    Not really considering, all the time wasted on comart and crap like that

    There is no real alternative to GEOVISION, thats a fact

     

    There is cheap and nasty and there is ok, but then there is geovision -

     

     

     

     

    Sorry But I wont be changing anytime soon

    Yep have been using geovision since 2003/4

    I wouldnt use anything else

     

    My own gv650 is installed here 6 cams

    Will post pics when I get time of the new Samsung 4150 IR cam

    I wouldn't bother with less then 10 on each camera,

    Unless they are not important,

    because its always the frame you miss when the guys face is looking right at the camera or what ever,

     

    Time lapse was about 5-6fps, and how bad was that on 16ch multiplexer,

    Why bother going digital if its lousy footage

     

    You can always use SMART recording and have the dvr pull frames from cameras with no activity to bump up the ones with activitiy on them

     

    Its not hard really

    Better to get good frames and plent y of them, then 240-380 @ 2.5 fps like most PC based DVR's out there,

     

    Waste of time

     

    A guy took over a site we put heaps of cameras in, he rebuilt one of the dvr's because they have been installed for 4 yrs and never been serviced

     

    He didn't make any adjustments to the settings and didnt even put the site name in so its recorded on the footage

     

    Just whinged about the latest version being better then the old one , der

     

    My mate had his wallet stolen, one dvr was offline because when he rebuilt it, he didnt plug it into the ups- and the other where he moved all the cameras around and replaced a heap for the new owner, were out of focus and we got the mobile phone that got stolen, but its fuzzy, not going to be good proof..

     

    so 1 week of PRIME footage is better then 2 mths of crap !

    pirated disc - had Chinese on it

    Wouldn't work with v7 IE, security certificate had expired,

     

     

    Im disappointed geovision didn't threaten to shut their dealership own if they didn't fix it,

     

    When someone tells u its GEOVISION ( supposedly reputable dealer) then you tend to believe it when other products were ok

     

    Yeah jet view does sell on ebay

    multiple names I have found now

    We know geos rules on ebay sales

     

    Ah well my fault for trying to cheap skate and cut price in half to comepete with big players here ...

    I purchased some ptz's and cars off jet view cam,

     

    the cards were counterfeit,

    Geovision arent interested, other then telling me to buy local,

     

    I sent one card back got a refund, the 2nd card was in a machine and was sent back, im out of pocket 3500 for a 2nd system for the client while this is going on,

    it has been delivered, and he refuses that he received it,

    I have confirmation from Hong kong post to say it was, and i cant claim insurance because it has been delivered,

     

    Ken lui says he moved offices, but failed to advise of new address till after I sent it

    NO I prefer these buggers

    got 3 on a car yard with dt's in the yard triggering cams to move on motion covers whole yard and u get 2-3 cams looking from different angles at scene on motion,

     

    Im looking for a supplier, as the one I got sold me counterfeit cards, so cant trust him

    Someone who jus chucks a panel in a roof and walks away after grabbing his money is not the same as a real technician, someone who designs, builds, installs and maintains the systems,

    I sell what you need, not what I want to sell you Cause my supplier doesnt have what I need, only what he wants to sell me

     

     

     

    I understand and agree FULLY Rory on ur comment about suppliers, and clients requirements: ) see it all the time, Not just in security, but phones as well- people want voip and get lockeinto a proietry system, one that doesnt meet or suit their needs , typically why I sell IP PBX, future proof, outdoes ANY clients needs, and it adaptable.

    many customer are oblivious to this and have no real clue, just buy what they are sold

    Dunno bout the GE brand (das sell them here "HILLS" or pacom is the disty for GE)

     

    Extreme is another not available from any disty I know of here

     

    This is liddle old aus, keep in mind

     

    Anyways a camera that can see 100"(this would be feet hey so 30+ metres =3 foot to a metre)) with IR, ?

    Just buy an illuminator,

    Must be a good cam, havent required anything like that in these neck of the woods, yet. Cept my own house, but I hooked up m-y 500w flood lights to ac-tivate on motion, Ness do have a good stock of IR cams I like..

     

     

    I would use Bosch if the app requires it,

    Maybe the extreme ir Colour in the dark camera would be nice in clubs and that for night views... But havent required this yet, cause people sell **** like cop and crap based on price What do you do, they are idiots with no real experieince just tryna to make a dollar, like the patrol company here whos gone into providing FREE alarm monitoring what a fool how can you provide something for free when it costs money ) He wont last the year out.

    I do shop around

    I have and do use many brands,

    Im not brand orientated, but the samsung range is pretty good,

     

    I have used Ness, Kobi, Bosch, pana, sanyo, IFCS, Ganz, Sunkwang, LG, cp cam etc etc-

     

    Theres one guy who primarily uses bosch here, so what have you got to compete against when theyre all selling the same stuff- plus the least my opp knows about my business the better

    More then one reason I dont buy where they buy....

    Hi everybody,

     

    Did there anybody want to purchase some Vandel dome water resistance camera?I think this kind of camera will be very good for use outside,if with IR it will be very nice!

    any IP68 camera will be fully waterproof.

     

    Have you tried the wdr of samsung domes, they go to low light with SSNR to cut out noise,

     

    Best Vandal dome aroudn I think IMHO
