  1. The NVR is easy to work with, it automatically detected the Cameras without hesitation and recording and playback is easy to understand. I haven't played with motion based recording but at this point I'm not sure if I will. Once I get a switch I'll hook it up for remote viewing and report if it's easy (at least for a novice).
  2. Day Time Video: Night Time Video: This is straight out of the box, no adjustments. Hikvision DS-2CD2032 Camera Night Time
  3. A thought came to me today, if a burglar came to my house and they stole my NVR...I'd be in a mess. Which makes me think, maybe I should put my NVR in my attic and run cables down to my desk. Good idea? The only issue I see is that it is hotter up there. I'm not sure how often I'd have to actually have fast access to the NVR.
  4. I ended up buying the Hikvision - DS-7608NI-SE/8P NVR along with that 3TB hard drive. Hopefully everything comes in by Saturday and I can begin to install.
  5. Where can I find one that is compatible with this camera?
  6. That was the HD that amazon said people buy with that nvr. Which HD should i buy?
  7. Hi Everyone, I'm looking for a 2 camera system right now, with the ability to add 2 more in the future. Based on reviews here I assembled this package on Amazon but wanted to know two things: a) Is this everything I need? Which network cables do I need? My house is currently setup on Cat5 b) What comparable setup should I also consider. 1) Hikvision DS-2CD2032-I Outdoor HD 3MP IP Bullet 1) Hikvision DS-2CD2632F-I Hi Def 3 MP Outdoor Bullet IP Vari-Focal 1) Dahua ION Series ESDV-NVRION-8 8 Channel 1080p Hi Def Mini NVR 1) WD Red 3 TB NAS Hard Drive: 3.5 Inch, SATA III, 64 MB Cache 1) TP-LINK TL-SF1008P 10/100Mbps 8-Port PoE Switch, 4 POE ports This puts me in at $748 Your responses are appreciated. The 2032 camera will go near my front door. The 2632 will go on the side of my house pointed towards the street.
