    AVTech DVR 777

Thanks for all your help. Yes my 777 is working, but when the HDD is loaded back into the DVR and try to search, it show "Disk Empty". The problem is when I try to mount the HDD in Fedora Linux, it does not automatically detect the file system, thats why I asked about the File system. Regards,

    Panasonic WJ-HD316A USB burning

If you are using Plextor to record from Wj_HD300A series DVR, plextor does not convert it for ordinary media players, when you perform the disk ejection procedure, a viewer is also written to disk for playing the recorded file. Moreover there is no need to format the media (CD/DVD) while using Plextor, the CD-RW and DVD-RW can be format. The next, it is written in the manual that you can backup to CD/DVD or DVD-RAM only, no USB Flash writing is possible (see Copying section in manual. Regards,
  5. Thanks for information, but let me rephrase my question. Recording was done with WJ-HD316A, the hard disk drive has been removed from WJ-HD316A and connected to PC. Now need to know what file format "WJ-HD316A" use to record? Is it Linux ext3 or some other file system. Regards,

    Panasonic WJ-HD316A USB burning

I've successfully made copies from Panasonic WJ-HD316A on to DVD and CD, with Plextor USB based DVD writer. But before attaching the DVD writer, I've upgrade the firmware of the DVR. In the process of Disk Space, it shows "**", but you should proceed with copy procedure. Important Note: After the copy sign vanish from the screen (that the copy has completed), to eject the DVD follow the procedure as mentioned in the manual after the "Copy to DVD" section. Regards,
