    Dedicated Micros bios?

When i re-installed mine it did the same. When you boot up it shows you the network settings. Access it using those settings then change them to what you want it to be.

    DS2 Hardrive upgade?

If you have been on the course, which is a very good one by the way, then you have the service supprt from DM aswell. Just give them a ring and they will talk you through it as you have already been trained.

    DM DS2/DX/16C/25PPS

No need to load software to hdd. Just format the drives fat32 then install into system when you are ready to upgrade. Download the software from dm's site and install it and it will install on your hdd for you. You will need your ip address before you start so make a note of it. Just a note I have been told some earlier ds2's will not accept 2 500g hdd's

    Reliability

Can anyone tell me how reliable the Geovision system is. I had a bad experiance with a card from Ebay (expensive lesson learnt) which crashed every day on 2 different pc's. I have since gone over to a dedicated micros DVR but it is very limited on fps and features. I am wanting to go back to a Geovision card but wonder if the crashing I experianced before was due to the Pirate card or if they are like this anyway ?
  7. Do you know if the d4 has a this feature ? Connect the Serial cable from your PC to Serial port 1 on the DS2, and use 'Hyperterminal' with the following settings: 19200-8-N-1 in the Hyperterminal window, tap ESC ESC ESC to get the ?:\ prompt Type 'up towngirl' Type 'help' for command list, here you should change ip address as you wish with the network config command... enjoy

    A little help please

Does anybody have a dedicated micros system on here. When you boot it up mine shows all zero's when the ip address shows on boot up. Could it be that this box does not have an ip set on it or do they all do this on boot up.

    Day/Night camera/picture question

I had this. If you look at the lense there is a rubber ring surrounding it. the ring must be tight against the glass or you get infra red bleedthrough from the leds. Thats what the ring is on the night picture. The way I cured it was to unscrew ther cover and pull the rubber ring further out. Hope that helps.
