  1. Hi, I'm about to set up 12-16, 1080p IP cameras around my workplace. I'm just now getting into setting plans for the system. There is an existing system that is really old and doens't work, so I won't have to drill new holes or anything. Here is my problem: We are surrounded by trees, and we would like to receive alerts when the motion detectors go off. I would like a system that lets you place bounds for the motion detection since our trees would set off motion detection pretty constantly. Everything I've found that does that are softwares that require computers with decent specs, and we don't have any extra computers with decent specs. Are there any DVR systems that would do that? I'd prefer to buy a bundled DVR+8 to 16 cameras because that ends up being fairly cheap for what you get (around $1200). If I buy a computer that meets the requirements, buy the software, and buy the cameras individually, I'm looking at spending closer to $2000+. To restate the question in a shorter format. Does anyone know if there is a DVR that will allow for motion detection bounds, or do I have to buy the new computer/cameras/software all separately. Also, if you know of a way to do what I want that involves me changing my hardware setup, please feel free to say so. I haven't purchased any hardware yet, so I'm still up for changing it around. (I posted this question in the general section of the site, but wasn't sure how to move it. Sorry for the double post.)
