  1. Hi, please bear with me as I'm new to all this so beware of silly questions ahead ! I've just purchased a complete cctv system via ebay and set it up all ok, i've also connected to our BT wifi home broadband hub. I'm now able to watch the cctv pictures via wifi on my smartphone, laptop & tablet but only if they're connected to the same wifi as the cctv (i.e only in the house). I phoned the cctv manufacturer helpline and was told i'd have to pay £30 for the technical help to unlock my broadband to enable me to watch via smartphone through mobile phone network...other wifi...etc Anyway to save paying the £30 I phoned BT technical helpline and was told that bt residential customers was unable to use their broadband as only business customers had "static ip addresses" and that reidential ip addresses change every 30 minutes making it impossible to use for cctv Can anyone confirm if this is true, if so is there any way around it ?
