  1. Hi, very new here, but have a specific question... I have a QVIS Mini NVR... which the specs say is ONVIF compatible and therefore masses of cameras work with it. I recently bought the TrendNet TV-IP311PI which also states that it is ONVIF, so figured they would work together. So far I have tried to search for cameras on the QVIS... it doesn't find any. So I have logged into the cameras and set static IP addreses for the cameras and then on the QVIS tried to add the camera with that specific IP address.. still won't add the camera. I have googled for answers on this but no luck. I am a network/computer specialist, so setting up networking and making things talk over it is easy for me. I also know that standards are not always adhered to tightly so there could be incompatibilities even though both companies say their products are ONVIF compatible. So, really looking for any first hand advice here. I think there may be firmware updates for the TrendNet, so will probably try that tonight. Both the camera and the NVR support streaming protocols, HTTP and RTSP, I have tried with and without authentication. I can login fine to the camera and it is working. Any advice etc, would be much appreciated.
