    Dome camera compatability

i use Guarding Expert, simple and you can view up to 16ch if wanted. Before returning it check your power going to the camera and make sure that camera is actually compatible with the DVR you are using. Also go to the guy you purchased it from and ask him to borrow a small patch cable so you can stand next the DVR and plug it in right next to it so see if it word, and if it does then there is something wrong with the transmission from point a to point b, wether it be a kink in the coax cable or power, but try that before you purchase a new one and if it is still doing the same thing. also make sure all if your settings are correct in the dvr. if you have a 50hz or 60hz chose which everyone works great, but go through all your settings and play with them and see if it works. Also make sure the monitor you have is working perfectly and the output of the VGA pr HDMI settings on the dvr for local output is selected correctly

    iVMS 4200 issue

I don't recommend using the integrated video card on the pc, it is better to have an external one. We sell Systems that hold thousands of cameras, one specifically hole 3800 cameras. Everything is going through the servers and then our custom built PC's(48 of them) all pull from the servers and this is a casino environment with 24/7 monitoring and they CANNOT have any kind of error or down time and each computer has 4monitors hooked up to them 2 of them are 4k 65in and the other 2 are 24in and each operator can watch up to 80 cameras if wanted to. But first thing that i would do is order a high capacity Graphics card and make sure your power supply can handle it also. It usually does that because over the day after running all the time the GPU in the motherboard slows down and not pushing the constant video in high resolution. It is always good to most separate components inside of a computer to run efficiently. And that lag, i have seen it before, make sure your sub stream is set to higher bitrate and frames per second, also i would keep a constant 4096bitrate on the mainstream. What kind of switch are these cameras attached to and are you pulling through wireless or ethernet
  4. Looks good to me, just some spelling errors that I've have seen: You have two #2's This is what You Have "These cameras shall temper resistant shall mounting on a wall or ceiling with suitable heights and distances to capture required field of view as in the specification. (Annexure 1)" It should read like this " These cameras shall be tamper resistant and shall mount on a wall or ceiling with suitable heights and distances to capture required field of view as in the specification. (Annexure 1)" on #7 "Appropriate mounting options should be provided by bidder include camera pole, camera housing (weather resistant IP 66) and mounting accessories."

    iVMS 4200 issue

Doesn't sound like a camera issue, more of an issue in the PC , what type of video card do you have on it and please post screenshot when it happens so we have a better understanding on how it looks. Also if you are not wanting to record, it would be better to use the IVMS_4200 Client for your camera viewing
  6. Can you post a screen shot please, not sure why it would be doing that but i need to see what it has in the email tab in the NVR
  7. Ya i don't think there is anything near that. Your best bet is to do the first one as you want all the DVRs to be and back up its configs and then import them to all the other ones

    buffering

It means that it cannot get your RTSP live feed, some ISP providers block different ports so that you are not using so much bandwidth, first i recommend changing your RTSP port to a higher port and also all of your others, there has been some times where some ISP companies block a lot of lower ports. like on my DVR i set the" SDK port 8800, HTTP port to 8080 , HTTPS port at 443, RTSP to 2800, " and make sure your port forwarding is correct, but if it says buffering then you just might need to change your ports higher or your internet speed is REALLY slow but still should be able to see at least one camera

Picking the Best NVR 1080P Sysytem For Good Price

i havent herd to much about those NVRs but i know for a fact the the 16CH HikVision NVR is really reliable and user friendly. I sale them all the time and rarely have had a problem with one, just my opinion
  10. If you are using quicktime to view it and it stops, that means its a plug-in error, first thing i would do is go uninstall quick time from your computer and then restart and log back into the camera and it should ask you to download a plug in, once you downloaded it, exit your browser and then install the plug-in and see if that works, if not then try a different browser. What browser are you using to view this camera in?
  11. If you are trying to do a firmware upgrade you can keep it on poe and it will not have any issues when restarting and it will not kick off the poe power from the camera so you should be ok to do it
  12. How did you fix your issue, so if people run across this thread with the same issue they would have a solution

    Help with Set up

I would recommend you use IP Camera System if you want to see HD quality, but if you want to go with analog, i would go with at least 700TVL Quality if you want to see a good enough video through HDMI port. I would go with the second link you posted but if you can find them in bullets would be better especially during rainy days and being outside.
  14. Can you post a pictures of the wires, most likely those are probably for alarm, audio, power etc
  15. Not really sure what you are trying to ask, can you be a little more specific and clearer please!! not sure if you are asking if the camera takes 12V or what. What are you exactly trying to do?
  16. Can you post a screenshot of it?

IP Cam with h264 stream over RTSP

Here are a few that should work, if it has an ONVIF back end, it supports that, but heres a couple but feel free to look around for one that you might like better: http://www.amazon.com/SECULINK-Surveillance-Waterproof-Monitoring-smartphones/dp/B00M6SZ96Y http://www.amazon.com/SECULINK-Waterproof-Security-Surveillance-Software/dp/B00M6SZASG http://www.ebay.com/itm/Waterproof-H-264-HD-720P-ONVIF-Network-IP-Camera-1-0-Megapixel-Zoom-IR-CUT-UK-/141360692928?pt=US_Security_Cameras&hash=item20e9c0fec0
  18. You must be setting up something wrong because you can view playback from wherever the camera saves to. How is your system set up? And give me details on how try to do playback and what it says
  19. Ip cameras act as there own seder if its not connected to a NVR, when it is connected, you would use setup all parameters in the NVR side and it will apply them to the camera, but the ones that you see don't sync up are the ones that can be used separately also, like you can set up motion in the NVR and it will have motion even if it is not showing in the camera itself because you can set it up to record local on an SD card or NAS in the camera using different parameters just for redundancy but the quality settings can only be configured one one. Yes you can go into each Camera and set a different email to send to. Not 100% sure if you can do it if the camera is directly plugged into the NVR but you should be able to as long as if you have the latest firmware which has a hosting tab to dial directly in the camera without it being on a switch. On the "SNOW" i would increase the noise reduction to around 95% and make sure your nitrate is reasonable. On the motion sensor, reduce the sensitivity and make sure the motion blocks are not close to where the trees are. if you need help just PM and i can help you further UNITY SURVEILLANCE SYSTEMS....
  20. You would set it up in the NVR because you want to record there. But also can put in camera but still need to record somewhere, better to do it at the server end(NVR) What NVR do you have?

my nvr has gaps in recording

Looks like this might be the latest firmware for it, try this firmware on it to see if it helps, but back up configs of nor first. http://boavision.com/nvr-1008p-firmware1008p-firmware-v402r1120140504-d56.html

my nvr has gaps in recording

WOW WHY IS EVERYTHING BUY A NEW RECORDER. Could be something as simple as motion settings Well first of all you said this "It keeps rebooting" therefore, there is no motion settings that can reboot your system like that, motion settings are used to alert or start a parameter like recording and etc. You could be having and issue with the power. Try Plugging the NVR in a different outlet that has nothing connected to it and see if the issue persists, if so than the NVR is having power issue, the transformer in it is going bad and/or a shortage in power somewhere. That is a really cheap brand that i can't even find the manufacture of it to find a firmware.
  25. As far as i have been messing with Hik products, i could never get an email using TLS to work, i have emailed them about it but as far as now, it wont work, which is not good because a lot of my customers have yahoo accounts but i would tell them to create a gmail account.
