  1. Sounds like a software issue. Try to reload the FW again and see what happens. Here is the latest FW. Baseline Firmware_DVR (DS-7200HVI-SH,7204HWI-SV)_EN_STD_V2.2.4_build141206: http://overseas.hikvision.com/en/download_89.html#prettyPhoto
  2. The link that you provided is for the Client, the Link that i provided is for the PCNVR, he is needing the PCNVR he can't remote view a Client buddy.
  3. Are you trying to access the Playback Video files on it? If so go to Playback Tab.
  4. Here is an english FW: http://www.hikvisioneurope.com/portal/index.php?dir=Product%20Firmware/Recorder/DS-7100NI-SN/V3.0.10%20build141201/4%2C%208%20channel/ Also when you add that camera., you have to add it manually and make sure the protocol is set on Onvif
  5. Yes you can do that. Just make sure all IPs are on the same scheme. If your NVR is on default 192.0.0.64 then you need to change your IPv4 of you Laptop to 192.0.0.65. What is the IP address of the NVR? To Change your Laptop IP: 1. Go to Control Panel 2. Click on Network and Internet 3. Click Network and Sharing Center 4. Click Local Area Connection 5. Click Properties 6. Double click Internet Protocol Version 4 (IPv4) 7. Select Use the following IP address: 8. Enter IP Address :192.0.0.65 SubNet mask: 255.255.0.0 (assuming your NVR is still in default at 192.0.0.64) After that go to your web browser and enter the NVR IP Address and you should be in the NVR Web Interface.
  6. Correct. there is no Snapshot settings in the DS-76xx series. like i said you can do it in the camera but it will be doing the snapshots using the resolution that the camera is in now and you cannot just change the resolution for the just the snapshot and have the recording on a different resolution.
  7. Well in the 76xx , you do not have the options to do all that. The picture that @Mindtwist posted, is on the 77xx series. Even on the camera itself, your only limited to uploading snapshots at the same quality as being recorded.
  8. Oh ok, Im right here next door to you in Louisiana. There is some bad weather today hitting us. I could not find the FW for the camera, looks like an Australian/Chinese market product. You should have gotten the DS-2CD2332-I , which is the USA model and has all firmwares for it. If you can return it that would be your best bet. If not, i would try to see if that one accepts the DS-2CD2332-I FW . Both cameras are exactly the same but different model numbers, and small minor codes in the back end to comply with rules and regulations overseas. Try the 5.2.0 but for some reason if it does not work, try 5.1.0 and see if that works or even accepts it. http://www.hikvisioneurope.com/portal/index.php?dir=Product%20Firmware/Cameras/DS-2CD2xx2/ All else fails, return that sucker and buy you a DS-2CD2332-I from the USA market.
  9. In FW 3.0.10 it is not compatible with mac browsers yet. But it does have Virtual host. i just updated to it. But people have to remember to delete their browsing history after they upgrade a FW because web browsers store offline web pages and data. Also i went back and looked at the codes for the recent FW and 2.3.10_141128 with work with your Mac Browsers and will still allow you to enable virtual host. I can email you the file since it's not on the portal. Remember after you update you have to exit the tab and delete browsing history if you don't see the virtual host in the Advanced Tab. Option 2 should work as long as you have all the ports and addresses good. Make sure all Gateways are set. How is the NVR and cameras setup. Are they all on the same switch? Can you take SnapShots of all your network settings and camera management's for NVRs and Cameras and post them. Can i dial in to take a look and fix the issue if you cannot?
  10. Hmmmm.... ya sounds like someone messed the code on it and had an issue with that camera and just sold it on eBay. I would deff return it. What location are you in? Have you tried reloading the FW on it? I don't think it will take the same firmware, you might have to TFTP it. Or just return it and buy one from an authorized reseller.
  11. Are you trying to do this on the NVR or the Camera its self. Please provide us with all model numbers and firmwares for these device.
  12. What firmware do you have on the NVR? You have 2 options here. Option 1: You can leave the camera plugged into the NVR. Update the NVR to the latest firmware if not already on it. Enable Virtual Host in Advanced settings under Network settings. Now the NVR gives each camera its own port to access it. which will start with 192.168.x.x :65001. And all you would have to do is import that camera to whatever software you want to use it with using that port. Theoretically it should work. Option 2: Leave camera in the POE Switch. In order to import the camera to the NVR. You would go into Configuration-> Camera Management. Select the first camera and select Modify. Change Adding Method to Manual. Add camera address and it should work as long as the NVR and Camera are on the same IP Scheme and on the same switch. Doing this, you would be taking a reserved spot and making that spot manually so you can add a camera outside the internal switch. First thing i would do is Update the FW Here is the Newest firmware for that NVR: http://www.hikvisioneurope.com/portal/index.php?dir=Product%20Firmware/Recorder/DS-7600NI-SE%207600NI-V%28VP%29/V3.0.10%20Build141125/ If you are still having issues, i will be happy to dial in and take a look.

    is that all?

First of all what are you trying to capture? are you wanting to capture just normal areas or trying to capture licenses plates or just a general overview with a really nice resolution. How many cameras? If you want good cameras, i recommend you going IP with 3MP Hikvision cameras and NVR. Go with : DS-7604NI OR DS-7608NI depending on how many cameras you need DS-2CD2132 OR DS-2CD2032
  14. Yes if you connect the cameras directly into the NVR, they will change, thats a better route. but if you have them connected on a separate switch, i would try to make the SubNet 255.255.0.0 on the NVR and Cameras just to try. Also how are all these switches connected to each other. not having them connected together in the right layout could cause the NVR not to see the cameras and so on. Specific details please on how the switches are connected. thanks
  15. Im sorry, i could not find it. the only thing that i could find is for the DS-7204HVI-S.
  16. If you are going to have 60 cameras down the road, i would deff recommend you getting a CSX that supports 128CHs or even 256CHs to help with the high Bandwith. Also you can have 4 monitors attached directly to the NVR but make sure you have a NVR/CSX that has up to 4 HDMI Outputs. Now for the couple cameras that you are trying to get online. The PCNVR is just like a regular NVR, but just on the software side. Yes you will be able to log into the PCNVR remotely via web browser and do remote viewing. Also you can view the cameras from the PCNVR but i do not recommend you doing that if you don't have a badass PC that can handle all the serving and playing. I would try and see how the PC reacts to you viewing the cameras in the PCNVR, just keep your eye on the CPU and Memory usage. But i do recommend you using a different PC with IVMS on it to view cameras. After you have all cameras imported into the PCNVR. You would want to go to the network settings and change the RTSP Port to 2200, anything below that on the RTSP could be blocked by your ISP. Now you can go and do port forwarding on ports 80, 2200, 8000. After that you should be good to go, you can now go to your mobile app and import that PCNVR using port 8000. If you are still having issues, i would be more than happy to log into your system and take a look. PCNVR: http://www.hikvisioneurope.com/portal/index.php?dir=Software/01%20%20%20Video%20Management%20Software/01%20%20%20iVMS4200-PCNVR/Hikvision%20iVMS-4200%20PCNVR%20v1.3.6.2%20%28Windows%29/ Thanks....
  17. IVMS-4200 is a client for view cameras. In order for you to view cameras remotely, you would need to install PCNVR on a PC to act as a NVR, but would need that PC running 24/7 to access the PCNVR. Or you could basically just port forward the cameras individually to view them but you won't be able to view playback if the cameras are not the ones recording. How and where are the cameras recording to. The best app for viewing Hikvision cameras, would be IVMS-4500, it should support all mobile OS Platforms. You can also install IVMS-4200 on a pc that will be viewing the cameras remotely.
  18. The Cameras do not have to be directly connected to the NVR. As long as they have been added to the NVR, it should all be fine. Also make sure your SubNet Mask is at 255.255.0.0 for the NVR and IP CAMS. Also if they all have different gateways, you could have issues with the NVR and IPC talking to each other, unless you have traffic opened 2way if you have all separate switches and all configured differently. Can you please describe your layout, from modem to router to switch to cameras to NVRs etc.. Also you said that you can see Playback and Live Feeds from the NVR its self? but when you go to the Web interface you cannot see them? If so, then you have a web component issue. Either you need to upgrade your NVR FW or Your web component. What is the Firmware on your NVR. Also why do you not just plug the IPC directly into the NVR? You know you can still access the cameras web interface even though they are connected direct.
  19. Can you please copy and paste the model number of the DVR please also the serial number

    Hikvision POE 802.3af

Are you sure it's mode A ? that's quite unusual, most of the stuff in the market is Mode B (mid span) which technically means the injector is between the switch and the device. Afcourse the switch can support both A and B if it is smart enough, maybe that is where the 802.3f comes in? Right, Mode B is mainly used if you are not powering a device through the switches POE but rather through a Midspan or Injector. The 802.3f is used in an injector. Found this great article: http://www.l-com.com/multimedia/whitepapers/wp_Power-over-Ethernet.pdf
  21. here is the firmwares for all the Recorders. Choose the one you need DVR: http://www.hikvisioneurope.com/portal/index.php?dir=Product%20Firmware/Recorder/ Also if it is bricked and you cannot access it to upgrade the firmware or anything, you will need to force the firmware on it using the TFTP Tool from hikvision. Let me know if you cannot get it to work.

    Hikvision POE 802.3af

Mode A.... why don't you just buy you a smart poe switch rather than buying multiple injectors.

    Decent 8ch NVR

If you want the full compatibility and usage to those cameras, you would deff want to go with a hikvision NVR, maybe a DS-7608NI. Or you can just buy you a NAS and point those cameras to it to record. But you will still be spending 200+ for the right amount of storage. so might as well buy you a hikvision NVR and save your self a headache in the long run. FYI
  24. Honestly i would go with hikvision. You would need to get a NVR with it, it is very easy to use and has a friendly user interface. Its easy to fix if something ever does happen to it. I would deff go with a DS-7708NI OR DS-7608NI from hikvision for the NVR part. If you get that, you also get their free computer client to view and playback your cameras. Thats the best bet for a 8ch Security system. You can view the cameras with IVMS-4500 from the application store on any device and works great.

    American Dynamics Help!!!

Cant believe you're still on Analog first of all LOL. It could be the camera that is going bad or the matrix. Have you tried putting the cables into different ports etc. Also try factory restore and reload firmware on the device if possible. I would just upgrade to IP all over. The best way is that buddy.
