  2. Hey Everyone,

Looking to get some LPR Cameras for a client. Cameras will be placed on a security gatehouse at entrance of residential community. Entrance has 2 lanes. (Visitor and Resident) Do I need 2 cameras for the License plate capture or just one?( Entry lanes are right next to each other) And what cameras do you recommend? This is for a HD-TVI system

  4. Hi,

If you forgot the password you can remove the small rould battery on the board. Make sure you disconnect from power and then remove the battery from the board for about a minute. Put the battery back in and plug back in too power. DVR should have reset. Hope this helps.

  5. Hi everyone,

Installed a new Hikvision DS-7216HGHI-SH/S. My customer has one of those Comcast systems where residents can view all cameras through an specific channel in the homes. But they can also see one particular camera on another channel. Dvr is Hdmi and vga output only. I know that I can go HDMI to rca video and that would give access to all cameras. But they also want to see that another camera only on another channel. (Camera 11)

  6. Hey Everyone,

Im doing a residential community install. I installed a total of 7 HD 1080 cameras. 3 of those cameras are within 100 ft of the power supply and they are working great. 2 others are at 823 ft and the other 2 are 523 ft away from the power supply. Im getting a 6.94 Volts at the cameras. Do you think if I upgrade the power supply to a 24 enough voltage would reach the cameras. Really trying to avoid adding 2 additional power supplies as the cameras are in opposite direction.

  7. Numb-Nuts sorry about the late response. Just saw this. Im in Miami Florida. I do alot of business with homeowner associations and retail stores. I own a security guard company and wanted to incorporate the CCTV and access control. Ive been installing for about a year now. I took some certification courses and picked up a lot from an installer I use to contract work too. Ive given a few estimates and I notice that I come in way cheaper then my competitors.
