Have you tried changing the AGC settings Found under Video Attributes > Standard > AGC Click Auto a couple of times, and Apply it. If this does not work try changing them manually.[/b]

Remove the existing card, uninstall the GV100 Software, install new card, drivers and software. It may be a good idea to do a format and reinstall, depending on how stable the system has been.

I have mailed GeoVsion Tech Support on your behalf. I shall reply to this post once I get an answer.

You have to setup a schedule, and run the schedule instead of Start Monitor. You can setup several schedules i.e You can have a schedule, Recording on motion with no alarms between 9 to 5 Mon to Fri And another schedule to cover the evenings and weekend, with notifications. Can be a bit tricky to setup the first time. Just write down on paper the functions you want, to get it clear in your head. To edit and run schedules, click on the Schedule Button and select "edit Schedule"

You will need to download a Java Web Browser application from the web and send it to your phone USB data cable for instance, and then install it. What phone are you using?
-
You are getting the "normal" web page, because you are using a phone that has a version of Internet Explorer, or some other advanced browser. I had this on my Sony Ericsson K750i. I downloaded a Java web browser (Opera Mobile) and this sorted out my problem It seems to be that these new 2.5G phones are trying to be a bit too clever!!

Netgear routers are fine, also Draytek work very well. With regards to ISPs, its mostly down to personal experiences. Try going to http://adslguide.org.uk they have great indepth reviews about all Uk ISPs, such as uptime, reliability and speeds, remember its the upload speeds that matter with webcam applications

Just a quick point... Is it a GV800-4, in which case it will be 25 frames across all channels anyway, therefor no need for the smart technology, if not which card do you have?

Hi guys, Could anyone please recommend any monitoring stations in the UK that may take feeds from DVR's or PC based DVR's such as GeoVision's CenterV2 or ADPRO? Thanks in advance James

Monitoring Stations in the UK that support DVRs
ezCCTV replied to ezCCTV's topic in General Digital Discussion
Just interested in seeing which companies offered this service. -
If you are using GeoVision, this is easy to via the software, using different ports as heloder suggested. A good router that supports multiple NAT is the Draytek Vigor 2600. That is the router we use.

Multi user for geovision main system and Win xp
ezCCTV replied to Noon's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
Remember to configure the router / firewall at the CenterV2 end. CenterV2 uses the following ports: TCP 5546, 5547, 5548, 5549 These will need to be forwarded to the CenterV2 local IP address. Depending on your router / firewall you may need to do this at the GeoVision end also. (forwarding to the GeoVision's local IP) Also check to make sure that if your Windows Internet Firewall is enabled, make sure it is configured properly. -

ezCCTV replied to CCTVINSTALLER's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
GeoVision have recomended to me that it is a good idea to have the system logs stored on the same partition as the video, but within a different folder. -

Can Geovision starts as service?
ezCCTV replied to recycle_bean's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
This only works with Windows XP. 1) From the GeoVision System Configuration screen make sure "Start Monitor" is checked. 2) Go to a DOS Command Prompt and type the following command assuming you have a GV600 (change the path to whatever your installation is called). sc create Geovision binpath= "C:\GV600\GV600.exe" Make sure there's a space between binpath= and "C:\GV600....". It will tell you a new service has been created. 3) Go into the Services control panel and double click on the new Geovision service. Change the Startup Type to "Automatic". 4) Click on the "Log On" tab and then check the box that says "Allow service to interact with desktop". 5) Restart the computer and GeoVision will start automatically without anyone having to log in. -
Which output on your graphics card are you using for the CCTV monitor? If you are using the S-Video Out from your graphics card, this may not work due to DirectX being used to deliver the full screen view on your PC monitor. You can either; Turn off Enable DirectDraw Overlay, from under System Configure - This will degrade your live view of GeoVision, but will not effect the recorded footage. Buy a DSP Real TIme Card - This will give you a superior live image on both the PC monitor and the DSP out (your existing CCTV monitor)

is xvision the same as geovision
ezCCTV replied to antdickens's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
The X-Vision cards are OEM cards. They come with a version of software that is similar to GeoVision V5.4. The X-Vision cards will not be compatible with the new GeoVision software V6.1.
