  1. I know that people sometimes use DVD players to burn-in the Hard Drives and the DVRs ( to test for any errors) has anyone had any experience doing this?

Spoke to a seagate rep about the difference of those SV drives and their normal barracuda series. He told me that the drives are optimized for 24x 7 operation, increased throughput for writing, spin down feature when not in use also there is no error correction on these drives

    12VDC/24VAC choices

I am going to be using a bunch of different cameras and I would like a power supply that does both 12vdc and 24vac. Also I would like it to plug into wall socket 110V Any suggestions?

Is the price Premium worth it for the DVR specific Seagate Hds (SV35, DB35 series) compared to their Desktop Hard Drives?
  6. Hello everyone. I need to set up a testing area for DVR and cameras. I need to be able to ship out from 10-20 a week (for now). I have 4 single and 3 double workbenches now and loads of product. What will I need to build a efficient testing area to make sure that everything I ship out is problem-free. These systems are embedded DVRs and I have an extensive list of cameras including PTZ and IR cams. I am a CCTV n00b but a good computer tech, so you can treat me as such. Smile
