  1. Hi guys, New here. I was thinking about purchasing the NVR4208 from Dahua and am curious if you would be able to view the cameras through the NVR using blue iris. The reason i want to do this is to have some redundancy. Ideally i want to be able to record the cameras using blue iris from a computer located in a completely separate location and was wondering if this is possible. I have a few off brand cameras that will pass video to the nvr but i understand the motion detection most likely will not work and im OK with recording 24/7 on those cameras. I have no problem going out and purchasing Dahua cameras either to resolve this, i was just wondering if it was possible to communicate from a different WAN to this NVR and the cameras attached to it via blue iris. Thanks. Still new to this. I currently am using blue iris to record and have 13 IP cameras/SD and 720p, but its starting to destroy my home bandwith and the recording isnt stable all the time.

    NVR/Network

I currently have a hybrid system of IP cameras, 5 HD 720p cameras, and 8 standard IP cameras and my network is starting to bog down. Im looking into splitting it up with an NVR with built in POE to avoid this situation. Its for home use for me, not commercial. Network is bogged down, but things like netflix still stream fine. The cameras fail to connect sometimes because of this though.
