    Mini nvr questions

I have just received a new type of cheap Ip camera that does not work with my NVR. The previous cameras based on Hisilicon chipset all work fine when using the I12 and I13 protocols. This camera is based on the newer chip from Grain, and is the model GM8136S http://www.grain-media.com/html/8136S_8135S.htm The camera is supporting ONVIF but like the other cameras it does not work when using motion detection and Onvif. Is there a protocol file that will work for this type of camera/chipset?

Install the I13 protocol and add the camera using this protocol, that should make it work. Here you can download the protcol: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/ggnp0vodplxux7q/AADuEJzbEWcBUJ7U6ZkNeIY2a?dl=0

Strange to see that you and jovanardi loose the ONVIF protocol. I have all previous left when I add a new one? Perhaps it was the order that I did it? Have you added all of the protocols? or just the I12?

    Mini nvr questions

Hello jovanardi, I have the NVR2-N6200-8EL unbranded version with latest firmware. I used the I12 and I13 protocols that had a download link in this thread. When I did add the protocols all the previous protocols were still left untouched. I have the following protocols in my NVR2: I8, I8S, I9, I12, I13, I18 and ONVIF. I have now successfully manged to get my ESCAM QD100 camera to work with motion using the I12 protocol. It is not working when using the ONVIF protocol. The same as I said previously, when I add the ESCAM camera using ONVIF the NVR does not save the Motion detection mask. But when using the I12 protocol the NVR saves the mask settings. It now records only when motion is triggered and stops afterwards. The NVR probably has a bug in the ONVIF protocol that hinders it to save the motion settings to the camera. Maybe it has to do with the permissions interface to the camera? The ONVIF user can not save settings to the cameras?

    Mini nvr questions

I have the NVR2 and have the same problem as every one else here. As I posted in this thread previous I cant get the motion detection to work. I have now found one camera (Generic china IPCAM 2.0 mp http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-0MP-1080P-IP-Camera-P2P-Onvif-Outdoor-Security-Waterproof-4IR-Night-Vision-/151448649715 ) that works with motion and I also have discovered what makes this one work and not the others. I installed the i12 protocol that was posted here in this thread previously, I then used that instead of the ONVIF when adding the camera. When I did a search for the camera the NVR found the camera and stated it could work with both ONVIF and I12. First I tested using the ONVIF protocol and could not get the motion to work, then tried the I12 protocol and then it worked. I then compared all the settings with another camera (Escam QD100) that does not work with motion and ONVIF and found one possible reason. Go to the menu option : Config -> Channel parameters -> Motion detection. Here you select the channel of the camera that has the problem, when making changes here like specifying the area for the motion mask and setting the sensitivity and then save the settings. If you then select another channel and then go back to the camera where you made the changes all of the mask setting and sensitivity are lost. When I do the same on the camera that works with the I12 protocol all changes are still there and saved correct. It seems like the NVR can not save the motion mask settings for the ONVIF cameras? It says that save is successful but it does not store the changes.

    Mini nvr questions

Hello Redders. I am now sure that the NVR is the problem and not the cameras. I have tested with several ( 9 different ) ONVIF cameras from Axis and Bosch and none works with the motion detection and triggers the NVR to record, only to sound the alarm via the buzzer. I also tested a PC based software that uses the motion detection in ONVIF protocol (Mile, sight VMS) and that works like a charm with all the cameras. Even the cheap Escam. So I am shure that the problem is in the NVR and not the cameras. Does any body know who and what company it is that actually develop the firmware to these NVR units? I would like to get in contact with them to help them beta test and find the recording bug using motion trigger.

    Mini nvr questions

Hello, new here to this forum. I have the Mini NVR2 CT-n6200-8EL with the latest firmware (no name version). I have the same problem as all other in this forum, no recording on motion. The Cameras I have tested are : Escam QD100, Axis q1602 and Dlink DCS-2210. None of them work with motion to record. I have set them up both using their own webgui and using the NVR gui. Nothing gets them to record the video. They do however record by manual or schedule. First I thought that the NVR did not receive the Motion signal from the cameras, but if I set the motion to trigger the buzzer in the NVR it sounds the alarm (quite loud also..). So the NVR gets the motion signal from the cameras but does not record when triggered. I think that the software bug in the NVR is handling the motion signal.
