    Wiring Help

All my runs go away from the aerial point of entry of the power line. (power comes in above ground to one corner of my house), do I untwist 3 pairs and use 3 solid together for power and 3 striped for negative? Last pair to balun? I'm going to attempt individual power supplies today
  4. Using cat5e with 2.4mp 1080p hdcvi dahua. Longest run is 170ft. Getting hum bar and noise on furthest camera and looping on all at night. I've heard of all different methods of which pairs to use for power and which for the balun. Heard tying all the left over pairs for power helps long runs, can anyone clarify proper wiring for a cvi camera, balun and cat5e cable.
  5. Am I asking for help in the wrong section/forum?
  6. Using Dahua 2.4mp HDCVI system, cat5e Outdoor cable, getting rolling bar and distortion on longest run. Do ground loops work on CVI systems? what are the best baluns to use for 1080p
  7. Hello everyone, new to the forum and hopefully you can help. Running an 8 Channel Dahua 5108h-v2 DVR & HDM2220M 1080p Dahua Cams. Wiring is outdoor Cat5e, and the longest run isnt more that 170 feet (5 Cameras installed). Im using a 12V pover supply box (not the octopus thing). I am using 1 single PAIR for power and 1 for VIDEO from cat5. Baluns are the 5 dollar special. Now onto the problems..... On the longest run Camera i am getting a transparent BLACK BAR that VERY SLOWLY scrolls the screen and on 2 others its there and more feint. also on the longest run camera i am getting a crackling/popping audio when i monitor that channel as the primary one on my dvr, no other cams have audio issues. main concerns are ridding the crackling and cleaning up the pic..... THANKS IN ADVANCE
