    port forwarding help n advises needed.....

    the strange thing is that when i used it on a linksys "G" router i can view my DVR be it local LAN or remote from my office but if i used another router liked netgear / aztech / Dlink i cant. can advise?

    thanks man, i disabled the firewall on the pc and the router. i am using a huperlab H2404s 04 channel dvr card. i stastic the ip to 192.168.1.200.

Hi guys, i am using a pc based dvr n i forwarded the ports on my router on port 80, 8080, 9999, 18000 (UTP), 18082.....but strange thing is that i cant view it on my own internet explorer but outside my network i am able to do it. But only linksys router i am able to do it to view myself but other brands liked aztech, netgear etc i cant..... Can anyone help?

  8. hi guys, pls help if you can.... i forwarded the ports, port 80, 8080, 9999, 18000 (UTP), 18082 on my machine and the ip is 192.168.1.200.....on certain routers but i am not able to view it remotely at my own pc thru internet explorer....instead another pc from outside my network able to view my dvr remotely....y is that so? any advise? i tried on Aztec, speedtouch, dlink, netgear all cant expect only linksys.....

    sorry guys for the late reply due to my work.... finally i got it working coz i forwarded the ports, port 80, 8080, 9999, 18000 (UTP), 18082.....but strange thing is that i even registered for dyndns but still not able to do it remotely, i used the service from linkysys itself i am able to....y is that so? pls help, i will try to check back here soon....thanks for all the help guys!!!
