  1. This is an informative topic. I agree that CAT5e cable should be used inside the elevator cable. To tie a CAT5e cable outside of the travelling cable is not a very long term solution . Another solution; The conductors used for the camera transmission should be shielded with copper wires for example (2x0.22). So to use the 1 group of standard 24*075 cable(without any shielding) for camera may cause interference problem .
  2. The elevator cable price seems to high ,now the elevator cables with CAT5e prices are only about %60 more expensive than the standard elevator cables. It is better to install the cables together with the elevator technician. Usually non elevator technicians are not allowed to make an installation at the elevator shaft due top the elevator standards.
  3. It is possible to use 2 or more cameras cables inside a single cable. Please note that they should be shielded with foil , copper wire to avoid interference.
  4. 10 floors are not very high for 24*075+CAT5e flat cables. I have installed a 6*075+3xCAT5e cable with steel support cores at a 40 floor building. Please note that you have to fix the steel cores at the end of the first 60 meter to the wall.
