  1. I know, a typical post probing for the best rated camera. But, I can't find a list anywhere of good/high rated security camera's. I used the search feature but it's not very helpful. Here's what I'd like:

    HD

    IP

    5MP+ (best possible)

    ^ @ >= 15fps

    1 Bullet 1 Dome

    IR

    Color

    <$250

    etc

    Thanks in advance everyone-

250$ you maybe get two 1.3MP.

  2. I ran into a post somewhere here mentioning this camera from Amazon. They also have a website but after looking for a few weeks (and still have not come to a decision), I haven't heard of this brand but it does have good reviews on amazon. If you've already read my post before, I've mentioned that I'm just looking for a "not so complicated" security camera that I can see who's at my front door or came through my front door, inside the house, and backyard. I think for these simple needs, someone said wireless cameras or simple IP cameras. I'm still debating if I should just go with my alarm system loyalty customer offer for an upgrade to pulse and have them install cameras or buying one of the Lorex cameras that a lot of people seem to like as a simple, starter camera... or maybe below. Any advise is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

ADT cameras are not the "BEST" (especially the cameras they offer for loyalty customer upgrade) but I'm not sure if it "will do"for what I need it for. I dont need a surveillance or anything so not looking for dvr systems.

microseven is base in walnut creek California....If I do remember correctly. I would use hikvision over this brand.

  3. Dear all Sifu,

I'm still new in this industry, I'm was designing a new setup for my corporate office however one of my management require which is require to full live view for all camera , project all 180 camera in the operation office.

    My management expectation is

-Make sure live view is smooths (i believe require 25 frame rate per sec)

-Live view all 180 cameras ( after i study Live view will consume a lot of PC resources)

-Recording 30 days (i think is ok for all vendor NVR)

    Question 1

1)Base on you all sifu experience , do you think 180 Camera

    - Combine into 1 Recording NVR + 1 Live View Server (What CPU spec require ? i think require double CPU??? )

-OR break into 4 set (Recoding NVR + 1 Live Server) each set handle 45 camera recording and live view (What CPU spec require ? consumer i7 it is good enough?)

anything need to take note more ?

Camera and NVR i planning to use ACTI however I'm worry on the display LIVE View part.

I have some ACTi around my house...pricy and not as good as hikvision.

  4. What causes my screen to go green during daylight hours, but gradually return to normal around dusk? KT&C varifocal bullet camera.

Grateful for specs for a license plate ID camera. Distance to subjects: 50 feet, but if too expensive, could live with 25 feet.

try the hikvision 3mp VR focus lens. 25feet no problem. 50feet NO. about 269$
