  1. Hi guys I am a total newbie to this sort of thing I am literally just helping my Dad set up his CCTV as I am fairly tech savvy but I am having issues using some cameras we have via Powerline adapters. We are using: Dahua NVR - DHI-NVR4104-P-W Cameras Dahua - IPC-HDBW5302 Dahua - IPC-HDBW5302 Nexus IPC - IP-390DMI-3.0MP Nexus IPC - IP-390DMI-3.0MP 2 x Pairs of TP-Link Powerline Adapters (different models and synced seperately) 2 x PoE Injecters So basically we have 2 cameras directly into the NVR which work fine, no problems with those. The issue lies in ones we have in the garden. We have two cameras out at the garage, we have two pairs of Powerline adapters working independently of each other which come back into the house via the garage plug sockets and both then into the NVR. Now if I plug and pair one set of Powerlines and plug in a camera it takes a little while for the NVR to find it but it does eventually appear. Now if I sync and attach a second set of Powerlines and a second camera from the garage it just doesn't want to play ball at all. We did at one point in the past have them both working (kind of), however after unplugging everything to finalise wiring etc and plugging them back in it has never been back on, and when it was all working the two from the garage were really choppy video. Also worth noting that when both Powerlines are synced at the same time, even though the 4th camera doesn't appear, the video on the 3rd goes choppy. I realise I may not have explained the current setup that well so I did a quick diagram of what I have: Now is there a problem with us using two sets of Powerlines over the same section of mains wiring? I seems like they are fighting each other! I was thinking would it work to have a switch in the garage with both cameras going into that and then over the one Powerline back to the NVR? Would that be a better option? Would both cameras appear independently? I am open to suggestions as I am lost at the moment! Sorry for the long post I just wanted to try and explain my problem as best I could and hopefully I am posting in the most relevant section! Many thanks!
  2. Hi Guys, I bought a Dahua NVR and some IP Cameras for use at home (I have never done CCTV before!) I got them all plugged in and working fine and they were pretty easy to setup! I then went on to buy some TP-Link Powerline adapters so we could run a camera out at the garage however it doesn't seem to be detecting the camera via the TP-Link! With the cameras plugged into the router they work perfect. The PL Adapter passes through WiFi into the garage fine so I know its working. Which is why I can't understand why the camera isn't being picked up! We are using the following: NVR Dahua NVR - DHI-NVR4104-P-W Cameras Dahua - IPC-HDBW5302 Dahua - IPC-HDBW5302 Nexus IPC - IP-390DMI-3.0MP Powerline Adapter TP-LINK - TL-WPA4220 As I say I am totally new to this, I read on the forum of people using Powerline adapters so just got any set! I work with computers but have never done this sort of thing! Did I buy incompatible adapters/ is there some settings I need to change? Any help is REALLY appreciated! Thanks

Dahua DVR - IP Camera via TP-Link issue

Ok did a bit of research! Am I right in thinking if I get the POE Injector below and plug that in next to my powerline in the garage, then run from the powerline to the POE Injectors ethernet and then from the POE Injectors ethernet to the Camera this should fix my problem? http://www.amazon.co.uk/TP-LINK-TL-PoE150S-Injector-Adapter-Compliant/dp/B001PS9E5I/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1447754655&sr=8-1&keywords=poe+injector Cheers!

Dahua DVR - IP Camera via TP-Link issue

Ah right didn't know you had to power it! Worked plugged into router via Ethernet so assumed wouldn't need power! Can you link me to an appropriate cable to power it? I really aren't clued up on all this DC amp stuff! Much appreciated!

Dahua DVR - IP Camera via TP-Link issue

Hi yes I have both of the adopters. One is plugged into the house with an Ethernet to the router, the other is plugged into the garage and it's working because the one in the garage is a wifi adapted and works perfect. Any other ideas? Are only certain models of adapted compatible?
