  1. What's an alternative to DSS1000 (uses Argus drivers)? I would like something that... 1) Does not change resolution, and can be run at any resolution (we use 1400x900) 2) Is WindowsXP-Friendly, not windows 95 friendly..... Thanks! (Argus Surveillance does not work /cry)
  2. EDIT: **SOLVED (I don't know what I did to make it work)** Okay -- Updates.. When I hook it up to another PC, works fine. I also noticed that it only asked for 1 WDM Audio and 1 WDM Video driver. On the PC I want it on (and the one it USED to work on), it for some reason installs FOUR drivers (2 audio, 2 video). It may even be clashing with another program/driver..
  3. Hey guys, I am using some non-brand DVR card that came with DSS1000. I have several issues, but the main issue right now is that it's not letting me load the software without it giving an ARGUS driver error. Here's the thing.. it USED to work! My PC crashed, and did a clean install (so same hardware and everything, just a new clean windows) 1) I installed DSS1000 2) I installed the Argus drivers (I tried from the CD, from the internet, countless different ways) -> No matter what method I tried to install the drivers, it would always install 2x WDM Audio drivers and 2x WDM Video drivers -> Audio drivers.. check / Video driver #1.. check / -> Video driver #2.. Driver Not Properly Installed: Driver Cannot Start I can only assume it's not starting because of that. SO... Major Questions: Q: What is causing this error to happen? Q: What is the proper way to install the Argus/WDM Video Drivers? Q: WHERE on the internet can I find a WDM Video driver link? All links are broken out of the hundreds of sites I've found Minor 3rd Party Questions: Q: On DSS1000, can you change the resolution to other than 1024x768? Q: Is there a way to make DSS1000 windowed?
  4. I am using an offbrand argus card (4 channel) and with it included DSS1000. This is a very ghetto program, looks like it's made for windows 95.. Anyways, we use 1400x900 resolution on our monitors, yet it FORCES to change to 1024x768 resolution. If I change the resolution, anytime I enter the program it changes the resolution again. How can I stop this? I hate this program.. I am also making a separate thread about suggestions on other programs than DSS1000 Thanks everyone![/b]
  5. Is there a way to get into windowed mode for DSS1000 surveillance program? If not, is there a 3rd party program I can use? I use two monitors - one for surveillance and the other for point of sales. Thanks
