  1. Hello

The Real Time Display Card outputs composite video from the DVR minus the graphical interface. It also displays all video on the main system in real time reguardless of the card in the system. It has no effect on the recording rate of the system. A video card with secondary output would display the video with the interface.

Shortly the DSP card will allow you to control it like a Spot Monitor, so in essence you can display different video out of the DSP card then being shown on the main system. Until then, the DSP card displays whatever is being displayed on the main GV system, minus the interface.

Your other option, of course, is to use a quad or multiplexer with loop through per channel.

  2. Hey toughman

What is your ISP? Some ISPs block port 80,4550, and 5550 (the ports that geo mpeg server runs on by default)

You may want to try and change the geo mpeg server to run on port 81, 4551, and 5551. This is done when you enable webcam server, and click on server setup tab.

  3. In order to work with Geovision version 6.1, the board must have the S1 chip.

This chip is located where it tells you what card you have.

    i.e. 8 Port S1 GV650

If you do not have S1 and really need or want to upgrade, contact the original place where you bought the card from (hopefully and authorized distributor) and they will be able to swap out the chip for you.
