whiny control freaks live to inflict domination and control on others. they do because they can.
my generic response to things of this nature: "What would R. Lee Ermey say?"

a few years back I screwed up and used a 24 VDC power supply in a twelve volt system. severe contrast, nothing melted in the New Mexico summer heat. switched back when I figured out what I did wrong, everything still works.

don't buy a whole pot of LED floodlights until you test one. the 50 watt LED flood I tried swamps the AC power lines with noise and trashes the video

you need a ChannelPlus 5545. 4 analog channls in, one cable TV connector with 4 channels out. they need a blank channel in between, so 21 - 23 -25 -27 workx. Less than $200 new, ~$100 used on eBay, mine have worked for 10 or 15 years now.
I put my outdoor 5545 on one leg of a cable TV splitter, my antenna on the other leg, using the splitter as a combiner and using the input as an output. works fine.
Edit: Look at the ChannelVision E4200IR:

same idea, with a digital readout indicating channel number

20 working cameras in very inconspicuous places. 5 DVRs, and built in troubleshooting aids which will be covered in a future post.
standard cheapskate electronic tech and packrat, with McGyver & Kluge capabilities.
I'm not here to ask questions. I'm into devising simple inexpensive solutions, making things that make CCTV simpler.
