  1. My old Swann CCTV camera was working, although images were veru soft, so I decided to replace the camera with a new one. I purchased an XVISION PRO AHD 1080P EXTERNAL BULLET CCTV SECURITY CAMERA - model XHC1080BA-XW and installed. I connected to the same power supply that i used for my Swann camera, and the BNC cable is direct to my KARE 4CH Standalone 720P DVR / 1080P NVR Realtime Surveillance DVR System (720P 1280x720 Mega Pixels, Better Than 960H/1280TVL, Support 1080p IP Cameras. I have connected the HDMI output from the DVR to my TV (as it was before), and the VGA output to a pc monitor. I have powered the system up, but get no video. I have tested the supply voltage at the camera and it is 12 VDC, and polarity is correct. The power supply meets the minimum recommended for the camera. I have the I think I have tried all combinations of settings for my DVR with no success. The dispaly resolution is set at 1920 x 1080. The encoding on the DVR is set at AHD-M/720p, although I have tried AHD-L/960H and also D1. Appreciate if anyone can help with this.
