Better u c the recording dates in the nvr and u can check the last few days u can find the incident -
The triggering option is for create alarm when loss of connection, sense any motion in night time etc; you have to connect external speaker and also you have to activate buzzer and select the option to TO THE OUTPUT there is no need of any format

check your DDNS and DMZ enable in your router page and also forward the http port properly
