  1. Hi. Your budget is too small Hi, What would you say is the cheapest I could pick one up for?
  2. Hi Was wondering if anybody can suggest the best possible PTZ camera, mainly for use at night, Full HD required and high accuracy for facial and vehicle registration recognising, range requires is around 200m, don't have much to spend.... would like to spend around £250 max but could stretch to £400
  3. Hi Guys, I'm a newbie, I've been looking to buy a high quality cctv system for my home for over 4-5 months now trying to research and find the best possible quality for reasonable money. Initially I wanted to buy Samsung or Panasonic full HD PTZ or better camera's but looking at the prices that won't be happening unless I win the lottery or someone can advise otherwise? So the next best option if I'm correct is probably Dahua or Hikvision, please advise if this is correct? Although I have also been looking at Alibaba cctv cameras and recording systems directly from China? Which would you go for, Dahua Hikvision or alibaba / ebay camera systems? As there are some very cheap ptz cameras out there....? I think I will be going for a NVR rather than the DVR recording system as it seems like NVR is the newer technology out there and supports better image quality cameras, am I right? I was thinking of a POE NVR, does this mean I will not need a POE Switch? Also do all NVR's come with viewing software for PC/Andrior/Apple etc....? I know this is a stupid question but can you manually change the grid on the monitor to show as many cameras you like or is it fixed to eg 9/12/16 etc? I live in a large 4 story end terrace so I would be looking for a minimum of 9 channel system that records in Full HD or better. Initially I wanted full HD PTZ cctv system and with cameras that have wide viewing angles but again, looking at the prices this probably won't happen. Nigh vision is extremely important and the more area the cameras capture the better, however NOT compromising on quality of image and clarity. I would like cameras that can identify car registrations plates at least 75m+ and clarity so that faces etc can clearly be seen at night. I don't have much light around my house so I will need a lot of IR I believe on the cctv cameras for a high quality night image? Am I right?? Which is a better image sensor cmos or ccd? What function or hardware will I need on an NVR to support PTZ cameras? I've spotted the Dahua NVR5216/5232-16P-4KS2 looks interesting, what are your views on this? For 9 CCTV Cameras to record in Full HD 1080p or 4k 27/7 for a month, what size HDD/SSD drive is required? One last question regarding camera lens, what are you opinions/views on mounting a 2.8mm lens or 6mm lens cctv camera higher up or lower on your property as mine is a 4 story house? Bearing in mind I do no want to compromise on clarity/quality/identification etc? Sorry I know my questions are all over the place but any advices, tips, pros and cons regarding DVR/NVR and Full HD or even 4k cameras is much appreciated? Thanks.
