  1. please state exactly what steps you performed prior to and during your connection attemplt via PC. Also state whether or not the HDD drive bays have drives installed.
  2. Hope this helps. Verint has a mobile app available on itunes and google apps. It is a fairly new enterprise item. http://www.verint.com/solutions/security-intelligence-home/video-situation-intelligence/products/enterprise-video-management-software/
  3. set your area of motion detection up using retangles around the edges of your screen as well as through the middle so that it looks for motion as you enter the frame. Set your sensitivity up at 5 for one week and review your recorded video. Then set your sensitivity up at 95 for the next week and do the same. Find your happy place and lock it in. Remeber that too much sensitivity will fill up your HDD. You are correct in not knowing which sensitivity is the highest. Some systems are set at zero as the most sensitive and some are the other end of the spectrum Good Luck

  6. I don't have the IP, User name or password. It is a DVR that was decommissioned about two or three years ago when a company went out of business. They said throw it away. I asked if I could keep it for my home. I didn't document the IP or log in information when I pulled the hard drives. I also don't have the original configuration save on my vid center. Is there a way to default the DVR back to Factory so that I can log in using the default IP, username and password and set it up for use in my house? Verint support won't talk to anyone who didn't pay to go through their training course.
  7. go to link. try page 15. http://www.seco-larm.com/pdfs/Users_Manual_B3.pdf

    Hikvision NVR

found your tech manual. it doesn't matter what cameras you have tied to your system with regard to setting up a multi screen display. that would be found in your system settings. Hope this helps. http://oversea-download.hikvision.com/UploadFile/image/UD.6L0202D1509A02_Neutral_User%20Manual%20of%20Network%20Video%20Recorder_V3.1.2_96%20series_20140519.pdf

    Purple video

check your settings for hue and saturation levels.
  10. You will need a POE injector. with no POE there is no power. sometimes a sensitivity of one is the most sensitive setting. try going the other way. the saved data should archive after a period of time. when it does it will only retain video with motion. look past 7 days for history. Hope it helps.

Did you try using the work admin? usually that is the default username and password out of the box.
