  1. Hi KoB, does the IQM32NE-B5 have the ability to save motion activated video to a nas or ftp server? Do you have any samples, I haven't had any luck finding any. thanks.
  2. Hi All, I am comparing these 3 cameras for home monitoring, they are all about $600 and are close in image size. I would likely get a external PIR for the cameras without so i am not concerned about that. I am concerned with image quality and features. I want to be able to save streams to some type of nas or my 7/24 linux server(possible with nvr). I would also like to view streams from my android and my tv via the networked dvr(this is a nice to have for the wife) I live in MA and the winters are 20-30 deg F with short dips into the single digits, are heaters really necessary? of the following cameras do any stand out? IQM32NE-B5 vs FD8361 vs TCM-7411 Thanks Dan

    vivotek IP8362

any thoughts on the Arecont AV1325 versus the vivotek or axis?
  4. Hi, Does anyone have any experience or comments about the IP8362 camera. I am switching over from cctv and am trying to stay around $500 for my first camera. At $700 this a little over and the Axis cameras although nice are about $1000 which is to much. I also want to make sure that the cable passes through the mounting bracket so it is hidden(like the axis or vivotek) which leaves out Acti. Too bad, I liked their cameras accept for the crappy cable management. The location is my driveway about 50'x30' I am looking for decent night quality, I have motion floods and would be willing to setup a pir if necessary. TIA Dan

    CNB BE4815NVR info

To follow up on my last post disclaimer, I'm new to cctv and not qualified to really compare quaility of cams, that said. I have $65 420tvl cam for comparison to the $200+ CNB to review cam specs are - 1/3" SONY Super HAD CCD - 550TVL High Resolution - Day & Night (ICR) - Digital Slow Shutter - 2x Digtial Zoom - AWB, AGC, BLC, Flickerless - Built-in IR LED & Sensor - Extra Video-out port for Easier Installation - Built-in Fan & Heater Cable Through Camera Bracket - AC24V/DC12V Dual Voltage 3.6-9mm lens the mounting hardware is solid (you could swing from it) cam won't move once it's locked down and no exposed cables to worry about, camera housing is well made. The cheap cam mount is crap! video out port is great for setup, I use a 13" tv with a composite connection for viewing cam adjustments color is much more accurate. picture is clear and crisp much more detail is viewable. I tried the blc b4 I mounted it and it seems to work pretty well, not needed in my case so I disabled it AGC is on, it seems to help picture level night picture is the biggest dif I get about 60' ir at 3.6mm, with great pq I have a 300watt motion flood, when on it does improve the pq and brighten the darker areas, with the cheap cam on or off the flood didn't make a difference, I'm sure one of the pros could explain this. Over all very happy with the cam and buy it again just for the quality housing and mount. looking for a sub $200- cam to test next if anyone has any recommendations.

    speco HT-INTB8 vs nuvico HW3895IR36N

based on my research ICR stands for IR Cut Filter Removable (ICR). Bit the bullet and ordered one so I'll see how it compares to the $65 cheapo cam I have now. Thanks
