  1. good morning to all. i'm new to this site and CCTV in general, so that being said - let's just put everything in beginners terms for now. just purchased the 8-channel Swann wired system about two weeks ago, which is definitely worth the buy, but just a bit of an issue with installation; and by that i mean correctly wiring this system to avoid weather elements, and vandalism. first off i have a 2-story single family home (3 story if you count the finished-attic) with stucco siding. the idea is to have at least 4-5 cameras mounted at least 10-12' from ground level with the wiring to the attic then homerun to the basement's utility room. not sure if this option still stands with my house being so tall. that being said, i'm looking for adequate conduit system to run the wiring directly to the basement. i did a number of searches and YouTubing, but need clarification as to where should i start with this option -- how to measure how much conduit needed; the type of conduit and fittings needed, etc... as far as junction boxes is concerned i might have to do a run to Lowe's for this since Home Depot didn't have the ones suggested in the videos and searches online. at this point i'm open to all suggestions. if any you guys can detail out my plans so i get things in motion, it'd be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance
