  1. Does anyone know where I can get something better to view my DVR than PC Viewer D6 series. I can not look at my prior events from home using this software. It is pretty much just a viewer from what I can tell.. I need something that I can view previous events, not just real time.

    need a appro RC5011

Does anyone have one or know of something that is VERY close to it. I have a customer that broke their RC5011 and are pretty persistent on wanting the same model. I can't find any dealers that still have this discontinued product.

    Hidden Camera - No Electricity

will that thing send a signal (1500 - 2000') across a road and into my house?

    Hidden Camera - No Electricity

The more and more I think about it I want to find an inexpensive drive way sensor. Could you guys let me know of a good option... Like someone said there isn't too much over there now to steal other than some of my mothers things (we have stored) but now I believe Kids are coming in and using it to get away from their parents. I would rather stop them before something happens and it burns down.

    Hidden Camera - No Electricity

These are all great Idea's have. You guys ever had luck out of a drive way sensor? If I can just be alerted when they are over there I have something to ID them... they will be there the next morning also. Yes, I live in Texas, there is a chain link fence around the property. I don't even have to have a no trespassing sign since they are jumping the gate... I bought a Drive way and personal sensor from a local dealer.. $65.00 (1500 foot range) B.S. I put the sensor in the house and I can't walk more than 15 - 20' before the receiver stops receiving.
  6. I have a house that has had all the wires stripped (for the copper cable.) now people are going in and stealing stuff. It is across the street (1500 feet away) I can not get power to the house but I want to catch the thief's. Do you guys have any ideas on how I can put a camera in that runs off batteries that can transmit 1500 - 2000 feet.
  7. One more question, how can you power a camera that is 1/2 a mile away if there is no power close by???
  8. Yes, that helps alot!! Thank you!
  9. Hello, and I want to start off by saying thank you. Well, I have been installing cameras for friends at no cost other than equpment for the last few months just trying to get a better understanding of the DVR setup and how everything works out. I am now starting to do it for businesses and people around town. Questions: 1. How far can you run RG-59 before you get loss in signal 1a. How do you amplify the signal if you need to run it longer? 2. If I want to control cameras "up down, zoom ect.." How hard is it to configure, will this dvr do it. [edit by mod-store link removed] 3.How do you convert to Cat 5 and why would you? I think this si all the questions I have right now. Thank you again!

    Jewelry Store?

I live in Texas, do you know about the laws here regarding licenses?

    Jewelry Store?

Do you need some kind of certification to install cameras in a jewelry store? I just seen an advertisement on TV about it. I have been installing cameras for a few months now and never have I been asked for a certification for their insurance.
  13. I was going to buy Siamese 1000foot rolls of cable but my client wants to run all the cabling underground (hidden). Do you have to use PVC or is this cable double shielded?

    TS SS RS examples?

Can you give me an example of the following settings on a AVTECH DVR. I have a flag flapping in the wind but when I set the settings a little higher it wont detect motion from more than 40 feet. I really don't understand what each one of these fully mean. Thank you so much in advance! LS : The sensitivity of comparing two different images. The smaller the value is, the higher sensitivity for motion detection. The highest sensitivity setting is 00 and the lowest sensitivity setting is 15. The default value is 07. e) SS : The sensitivity regarding the size of the triggered object on the screen (the number of motion detection grids). The smaller the value, the higher sensitivity for motion detection. The highest sensitivity setting is 00 and the lowest sensitivity setting is 15. The default setting is 03. Note: The default setting of Spatial Sensitivity is 03, which means once a object is detected more than 3 grids, the system will get triggered. So the value of Spatial Sensitivity must be less than the number of grids that you set up for the motion detection area. f) TS : The sensitivity regarding how long the object gets triggered. The smaller the value, the higher motion detection sensitivity will be. The highest sensitivity setting is 00 and the lowest sensitivity setting is 15. The default setting is 02. g) RE : The value of RE is a reference for detection. The default value is 10, which means DVR will compare 10 continuous images at one time according to the sensitivity of LS, SS, TS simultaneously. The bigger the value, the higher sensitivity for motion detection. The highest sensitivity is 61.
