Trying to id cam pin out

Soundy, The camera is NOT IP compatible. I tried to attach the pin-out but it didn't go. So I will explain it. Holding the camera so the lens is facing the same direcion as your looking. The 9 pin connector on the upper right corner. Pin 1 is on the left as marked. Pin 1 = Serial RX. Pin 2 = Serial TX. Pin 3 = Serial Ground Pin 4 = 9 - 12 volt + Pin 5 = Power ground Pin 6 = Video composit Pin 7 = Video Ground Pin 8 = EX.FV (I don't know what is it) Pin 9 = Ground Power for the camera is 9vdc - 12vdc. I have plenty more info for you than this if you need it. If you can make your own circuit boards and have a way to print Autocad 2000 I have a board layout I made that has connectors for Video, Power & Serial. Oh BTW holding the camera as stated above the camera is upside down. 9 pin connector is actually on the bottom. I hope this helps. Regards, Dennis L.

Trying to id cam pin out

Hi, If your still looking for info on the Hitachi VK series camera I have all you want to know. I have the pin-out as well as the serial communication code. I also have the code to control the Zoom, Iris & Focus. It is written in Bascom basic for an Atmel AVR micro-controller. All this I will freely give if someone requests it. Just let me know. Regards, Dennis L.
  4. HI, I actually want to change the firmware of an RAS916LS (0101-0041-01) Ultra Dome VII. I have an extra Hitachi Vk-S454R camera block. I would really like to have the Day/Night feature on that dome. American Dynamics had said that I would need to change the camera block and Firmware. Its much cheaper than buying a whole dome. If I'm not mistaken the CPU board is the same on both cameras. Regards, Dennis L.
  5. Hello Everyone, First I hope I posted this in the right place. If not please forgive me. I am in need of help from someone with a American Dynamics/Sensormatic Touch Tracker. I need a photo of the Board of the EIM (External Interconnect Module). I need the photo to be of the front & back. I don't have one & I would like to see what it looks like. If someone could help I would greatly appreciate it. Also does anyone have schematics for the the American Dynamics/Sensormatic Delta Dome (0100-2283-15)? I think I have a bad power supply board but I can't test it. Thanks in advance. Dennis

    Camera Theft

Hi Y'all, I'm not an installer. I just have some cameras on my house to play around with and hopefully keep my things at my house instead of someone else's, if you know what I mean. I like the idea of putting an alarm trigger on the camera. I don't have an alarm but I am thinking about covert cameras instead. I am using 3 American Dynamics Ultra series cameras in housings. I don't really like the idea of them turning up missing. When I do install an alarm I will hook the cameras up to it as well. FYI. The reason I am using AD PTZ cameras is because I was able to get two of them for free. (leagaly). They see 100% of my property. All doors & windows including breaker box is hooked up to the camera alarms. The cameras are also set to do a random scan. That way anyone watching won't know where the camera is going to be pointing. I would like to hear some input on my set up. Like I said am not an installer so I don't know all the little secrets. Unstable Image

Hello Everyone, I have a Pelco ICS110 Camclosure with ICS-2CRV39A camera block. The camera is giving an unstable image (I can send short avi.). It was working fine until we had a cold spell. During the cold, the picture would roll also freeze and sometimes just got to blue screen like it had no video signal. The camera was missing the heater board before the cold weather and worked fine. I added a heater board afterwards thinking it was a temperature problem. But now even with warmer temp. it is still doing the same thing. Sometimes however the picture will be stable but at the bottom of the image there will be a skewed section. It is running on 24vac. I have not changed anything before or after the problem started except for the heater board. I have one other camera outside an AD Ultra VIIE and it works fine as does a third indoors. Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be? Thank you. Dennis South East Texas

    Hi from South East Texas

Hi Everyone, My name is Dennis, I live in South East Texas where the humidity is always high and the mosquitos can carry you away. I have been in the process of learning about CCTV surveillance systems for the last 4 months or so. It is for personal home use. I am using American Dynamics (Sensormatic) and Pelco equipment. It all started when I was able to rescue two Speed Dome Ultra PTZ cameras from going into the compactor at work. They were both in great shape. The Ultra VII was never even opened. The Ultra V had been used before. I later traded the Ultra V for software and help on getting the system up and running. At the moment I have an Ultra VIIE in outdoor housing and a Pelco Camclosure 110 on the front of my house. I also have the original Ultra VII and a Delta Dome waiting to be installed along with an AD2150 Matrix switcher, AD2083/02 Code Translator & AD2096A Alarm Interface Unit. I am currently running the Ultra VIIE with a program called CamServer. I hope to be using a Touch Tracker in the near future though. I would like to hear from anyone with knowledge of the above systems. Maybe I can pick your brain. Well that is it for me. Regards, Dennis
