    Freeze Frame

Most DVR software install the same way you would install any Application/program. As far as them being picky, not quite. They are designed to be compatible with certain hardware, which you should be aware off if the card was bought through a reliable source. Some manufacturers post there compatibility list as well as some is provided through there local distributor. I have no idea what these cards are capable off, since there isn't much info on the web. If you can post the specs and the chipset No's maybe we mite be able to find something. Based on the issue you're describing it can be various things that's conflicting, I'll take a wild guess and say that your VGA card mite not be compatible, since I had a similar issue with other cards. Hope this helps. Try posting as much info as you can about these cards and maybe someone will be able to assist you further.

Have you guy's noticed the use of resources on the local machine while remote viewing the Flex R-30. If I use IE to remote monitor my machine freezes if I try to monitor more than 7 channels, I've noticed my CPU usage sky rocket with each channel I add to monitor. Same with the manager center except for the freezing.

This is my first time with this brand and all I know is what I was told and what was sent. I only choose this unit because of the great feedback from here. I've been using Open Eye for almost 5 Yrs with no issues, Eyemax for 3 Yrs with some issues, Everfocus poor quality, Samsung Poor Quality, and the list goes on and on and on and on and on and on ..... Originally started out with Bosch and Pelco System's but straid away because of pricing.

Well I called them up after reading all the good post in this forum about there equipment and they said that they manufactured there equipment and that the founder of the company was some guy who is involved in the development of new technology for CCTV. He went on to say a whole lot more ear candy, then we did a remote demo for which he insisted I used the DVR Manager Center and not the Client Software or the Web Browser even tough I mentioned that I will like to demo the unit the same way my customers will be using it which is mainly through a Web Browser which is a high point of the sale. "REMOTE MONITORING FROM ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD." 'As long as you have a Computer and High speed Internet.' So I gave in and ordered a Demo. My exact words was I will like to Demo the best unit you have to offer. He told me about the Flex R-30M which is the R-30 with built in matrix. Even tough he didn't send the unit I ordered I really didn't mind, since I was so excited to finally have put my hands on a "Full D1 30Fps Per Channel DVR I just couldn't wait to take it out and set it up. The really mest up part of this, is that I stayed home to setup this unit and missed my sons game and had a little fight with the wife about it

No. The unit came in on Wednesday and I've been in the field for some long hours. I basically do most of my testing on the weekends unless I have time during the week.

This unit really behaves funny. If I login, look around for a while then log out and try to log back in it says The User Has Logged In and I'm not able to do anything. Before when i tried to change the rights of the user group it gave me some message about I don't have right, even tough I'm logged in as admin.

I really don't see what all the hype is about this DVR. I just bought the Flex R30 which I received two day's ago, setup wasn't that bad, despite no manual shipped with unit. Remote view using web browser is terrible, this unit makes my cameras look like toy's, I went from an acceptable picture to a fuzzy day, they all look out of focus now, and at that price I would preffer use an Eyemax. I mean all I did was move the connections from my existing DVR to this Flex R30. Now my grass looks like a big fluffy blanket, live view appears to be about 5-7FPS, not to mention the recording. When I view the DVR over IE it locks up when I switch between live, Playback and setup. Forget about the remote client, this one makes Samsung look really good right now. I was told by my sales guy that this unit records all 16 Channels @30FPS @ Full D1, the only thing he said was that I would only be able to view 4 Cameras at a time in real time on playback, which I really don't mind, when I set the unit to D1 the max FPS is 7. Now I just tried setting the unit to record on motion, forget it, I'm tiried of this unit already and I've only been running it for about four hour's now. I could never recomend this unit to any of my clients. Sorry to say, but this unit really suck's right now, I'm really hopping It's user error based on all the positive feedback on this forum.

    Eyemax 9120 networking issues

In the DVR Settings under the Network tab, Change the Web Server Port to 9090 and then port forward ports 9090 to 9102, place check in the web login required box. Add at least 1 user with a password other than the one's that came default. First make sure enabled all activeX controls on your PC. Then login to the DVR locally using Internet explorer not the client software, you must use http://. eg:-http://192.168.1.100:9090. That's it as long as you forward the ports on the router you should be good to go.

Thought you were looking for an installer. What's the lenght's, difficulty? Basicaly, I charge Material plus Labor based on estimated time and difficulty. Lets say 1000' will give you two run's, then it will be the cost plus the labor charge for the time you estimate. If your looking for a flat rate then I'll say any way from $160-$260 @ 300'

    power supply question...

If that is the manual that came with that camera, then something went wrong some where. That manual is far a Box/Brick type camera like the one below. The camera you provided the link to would of had to look something like the bullet .jpg. Hope your warranty works out. Are you an installer, or hobbyist. I suggest you make this site and google your personal friends, and use all the spare time you have to read, read, read,. Don't be disappointed we all went through some sort of setback at start up.

    power supply question...

I'm sure these use a 3.5mm plug for power, which is used by most DC Cameras. And I sure hope you didn't buy them from flebay.

    How are zoom lenses accessed?

Standard Vari-Focal Lenses are manually adjusted. If you're referring to motorized zoom lens, yes they have an additional connection for an external controller. Here's a little info on one I used a long time ago. \http://www.accentalarms.com/faq/attachments/100/Pelco_MLZ6DT_Motorized_Zoom_Lens_Control_manual.pdf
