1 of 4 CCTV Cameras Won't WorkGadgetAssistant replied to ManBearPig's topic in Installation Help and Accessories Hello. Have you tried connecting each camera by itself to the separate 12 V supply? If they each seem to work OK or equally badly, you may want to consider a new separate 12 V supply.

Email settings not working - Swann DVRGadgetAssistant replied to SeaEm's topic in General Digital Discussion Hello. Google may block sign-in attempts from some apps or devices that do not use TLS. Change your settings to allow less secure apps to access your account. Go to the "Less secure apps" section in My Account. https://www.google.com/settings/security/lesssecureapps Next to "Access for less secure apps," select Turn on. An alternate port to try is 587 and neither needs to be forwarded. Google considers this to be less secure, of course. Hope that helps.

Hello. It could be either the mounting of the camera or inadequate power to the camera.
-
Swann PROH-855 Camera, Samsung SRD1694 DRV, No videoGadgetAssistant replied to DannyB's topic in Security Cameras Hello. Make sure the cameras are each set to either AHD or analog and if they are set to AHD then do not pair them up with any old analog cameras in connecting them to the DVR. AHD and analog cameras generally do not play nice when mixed together.

Hello. Is the DVR connected to your local network?
-
Hello. That camera model appears to be a high definition camera. So it would need to be connected to a high definition NVR or possibly a high definition DVR with a balun for the BNC connection. You can always check with Swann tech support.

The power requirements for DVR cameras will vary by the manufacturer. And, yes, the cameras and the DVR will have operating temperature range. 2 degrees celsius is above freezing and a good working outdoor camera should be able to handle that.

Sannce DVR firmware recoveryGadgetAssistant replied to vjorge's topic in General Digital Discussion Hello. Try a different TV or monitor.
-
Hello. Not enough power. The cameras will draw more electricity at night to light up the LED's to send video to the DVR. Try a different or newer camera power adapter. The power adapter you are using now may not be up to the task of adapting the amperage needed for night vision.
-
Hello. I would look on the back or bottom of the DVR to see if there is a some sort of indication of of a model, serial number, MAC, or hopefully even the manufacturer.
-
Remote Connection IP CamGadgetAssistant replied to gojkog21's topic in Video Transmission/Control Devices One other thing. If your cam or its manual indicate some web port, you can check and see if the cam hosts it own web page using its LAN IP from a PC on the same router. Consider the following URL as an example: http://192.168.1.23:85

-
Sannce 8CH-4 J Camera 1TB HDD SystemGadgetAssistant replied to MicheleFletcher's topic in Security Cameras Hello. Set the DVR network type to DHCP with UPNP enabled and then try using the public IP address assigned to the new router. Its always worth a try.

not really P2P for DVR/cameras does use central server Then, I guess we can call it a hybrid P2P. In that case, what would happen to the DVR/camera access if the manufacturer stops hosting the central servers or simply goes out of business?
