Spectra 2 has the cooling fan in the backbox, spectra 3 has the cooling fan in the dome, Specra 4 doesn't have a cooling fan. So spectra 4 dome can be place in a Spectra 2 back box with reduce capability. Spectra 3 dome can go into a Spectra 2 backbox. Spectra 2 dome can not be used in a Spectra 3 or 4 backbox because there is no cooling in those back boxes -
Spectra's are good relible cameras and have some of the best customer support in the bis

AD and Pelco uses different procotols to send commands to the Spectra dome. You may need to uses a translator to convert procotols. check with Pelco web site for a txb-ad product and check manual to see if your AD head end is listed

I have seen this when the camera is reaching the durability range of the auto focus motor. a common spec is 500k cycles. it may be time to get the camera serviced
