  1. Morning guys, I have been using these to get HDMI signals into vaults ect where I can't get a normal hdmi cable to make the tight bends (the hdmi connector is to long to make the bend but un-terminated cat6 goes pretty easy) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004GX0DEA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 During storms this weekend a customer called about one of his monitors going out and that the adapter felt warm to the touch. Has anyone else had a similar issue? Could it have been a power spike? Also is there anything else that you guys have used that may be a good replacement in the even I have more go out. Thanks
  2. Sorry for so long before a reply Yes you can have a different number of and configuration of displays on most of the HIK NVRs I have worked with. Most of the convenience stores I have done have a monitor behind the counter that shows the isles and likely customer theft areas, and another one in the office with all the cameras emphasizing the employee theft areas
  3. Looking at trying out some of the IC Realtime products and wondered if anyone on here has suggestions on what I may wanna start with to demo at the shop. I currently have 25 HIK cameras here that are used to show potential clients how each camera looks. Hoping to have some real world what people like vs what the sales rep wants me to buy/ push
  4. I have not used the 7732 but have done plenty of the 7716. The NVR should have 1xhdmi and 1x vga out, you can configure each to have a different view on them.

What is meant by "two-way" audio?

means it is capable of audio both in and out, either through external microphone/speakers or built in to the unit.
  6. DO you need an all in one package? Or could you use Solar setup to power a POE switch and go from there??
  7. Unless I missed it the camera you listed only has zoom no Pan or tilt.
  8. buy a wireless bridge connect it to your wireless network, and use the wired port on the bridge to connect to your NVR
  9. Do you have either a static IP or the dvr/nvr set up on HIK-connect or HIK-online??
  10. here a couple shots with the HIK 2142s I will try and remember to add some daylight shots later
  11. Plug and play is nice, but I prefer to set up static IPs in cameras, it just makes going back into the camera itself easier when I have to adjust or change something that requires a login to the camera and not the NVR

    Grainy picture over time

here are some screen shots to see if they help 2 weeks since WDR reset last on a DS-2CD2542FWD-IS, mounted directly to a wall, POE from a cisco SF200-24FP-NA switch, 60ft of cat6 same camera 1 hour after resetting WDR Same building same WDR reset, camera mounted on a WMS110 mount onto a steel pole. DS-2CD2142FWD-IS, 74ft of cat6 POE off the same switch. again 1 hour after turning WDR off and back on Another location that I do not have an after picture for since I have not been back out recently, this is a week or so after I turned WDR on, the picture was dark but clear for the first couple days DS-2CD2542FWD-IS , POE from DS-7716NI-SP, mounted on the side of the house, 46ft cat6

    Grainy picture over time

Hi guys, new to the forum and looking for a little help. I am using HIKVision 2CD2142 and 2CD 2542 in 2.8mm and 4mm. The issue I am having is that after a few days the ones I have WDR enabled on become grainy for the night pictures. They look great for the first few days and sometimes weeks but they eventually turn grainy. I can turn WDR on and back off and they are fine for a while but the picture quality eventually get worse over time. Any help will be appreciated
  14. HIK seems to a budget friendly brand, are you using each camera as it's own web address or would you like to go to a central NVR and stream from that device?

    Remote Access

What NVR/DVR are you using? I know with HIK I have a least a dozen locations on my iVMS-4200 screen

Displaying of DVR output on a Sumsumg smart TV

I have used these in longer HDMI runs as well as to get out of a couple vaults since non-terminated cat5/6 is much easier to fish through the available holes. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004GX0DEA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

trying to figure how resetting turning WDR off and back on would fix an issue with either but I will check to see if there is a mounting similarity between the cameras doing it. As well as see if the ones with POE off the NVR vs a switch is a difference
