  1. Avigilon supports dewarping of ImmerVision lens on Sony cameras.... https://pro.sony.com/bbsc/assetDownloadController/S-IP2189-B_SNC-HM662.pdf?path=Asset%20Hierarchy$Professional$SEL-yf-generic-153711$SEL-yf-generic-153760SEL-asset-421080.pdf&id=StepID$SEL-asset-421080$original&dimension=original I do agree they are a little late to the game when it comes to dewarping support but it looks like they are jumping on the ImmerVision bandwagon. My hope is they release their own ImmerVision fisheye camera sometime soon.
  2. You will not lose any recorded video when you upgrade from ACC 4 to ACC5 Also your Hikvision cameras will work with ACC 4 you just need to use the correct firmware.

    Fiber is the best option.
  4. If you have time you can demo them all and see which works the best for needs/wants.
  5. +1 on that... Also if you don't terminate the shield properly you will do more harm then good.
  6. Did you read the title of this thread? He wants to run 32 cameras @ 30FPS. Please tell me what ISP can handle that much bandwidth consently being uploaded to the cloud.

    cat6 vs cat5

Sure you can if you want.... We have customers that require Cat6 and other customers that don't care. Point is both work just fine for small systems.

    Axxon

Software looks very cool with lots of features. Never had any luck getting it to work properly. Not the easiest to setup.
  10. What VMS/NVR are you using? What cameras are you using?
  11. 5 Concurrent clients connected to 24 servers with max 48 cameras per server.
  12. Vari focal / telephoto lenses are best for long hallways
  13. What VMS platform are you planning on using?
  14. the main purpose is to be able to freeze frames at pretty low light (like street). it's not 0.0001 lux i guess but i need fast shutter so need more sensitivity. slow shutter will fo the opposite. when people move at night, walking or car driving (slowly) on the street, you can't recognize the faces of the car. it gets motion blur. thanks I would strongly recommend you get a lux meter and check your target area. We have many cameras installed in this situation for LP reads and don't have issues with motion blur. Normally we are using Avigilon's bullet cameras which have built in IR or the Lightcatcher cameras.
  15. Axis. Bosch, Samsung and Avigilon all have low light IP cameras. Axis's new Q1614 does both low light and WDR (not at the same time though) All the cameras mentioned above do very well in low light but none of those will do .0001lux Question... How do you know that you need a camera with precisely 0.0001 lux? That is extreme low light requirements. What meter did you use?
  16. You can download the software using the link below. Once installed you can select a 30 demo of any version of the software CORE, STANDARD or ENTERPRISE. Avigilon will automatically handle both streams from the camera without any configuration in Avigilon. You also have the ability to configure both streams in the camera to your needs. All motion detection is done in the camera. Hikvision works very well with Avigilon's VMS and is super easy to setup. http://avigilon.com/support-and-downloads/for-software/software-updates-and-downloads/

    Onvif Version Compatibility

Always test ONVIF devices BEFORE deploying them. It is getting better then it was but there are still issues so you should always test to see if they are compatible with your NVR/VMS solution.

  19. What size drive are you using for storage in the NUC?
  20. Avigilon's 9-22mm Bullet cameras are very good at LP reads. 3MP and 5MP are what we normally use and customers have been very happy with the results.

    GoPro as security camera?

Not that would even remotely want to recommend a GoPro for a security camera. Think about how much time you are going to waste managing and reviewing video. You could use a USB battery pack to power the GoPro to increase run time.
  24. You have three options: 1) Upgrade ACC 4 server to ACC 5 server 2) Upgrade ACC 4 server/client to latest build: 4.12.0.48 This build includes support to run ACC 4 client and ACC 5 client on the same machine. " Modified the 4.12 client so that it can run simultaneously with the ACC 5 client " http://4a54f0271b66873b1ef4-ddc094ae70b29d259d46aa8a44a90623.r7.cf2.rackcdn.com/assets/Uploads/ACC-4.12.0.48.ReleaseNotes3.pdf 3) install the standalone version of ACC 4 that others have listed. I would recommend upgrading so both sites are ACC 5
  25. We have been using the EZRJ-45s for years without issues. Works with Cat5 and Cat6. Thousands of end terminated using EZRJ-45. FYI the cutting blade on the crimp tool will ware out over time.
