    ACC5 SW Questions

Looks like pre/post is not available for ONVIF cameras at this point but since you have Enterprise you can make this happen. You need to setup a alarm event based on motion detection and you can set up pre and post recording.

Not gonna happen with a moving vehicle unless you have total control of the lighting.

    ACC5 SW Questions

My guess is it is not a popular feature request for most commercial installs. In PA it would be a violation of the wire-tap laws so very few customers could legally use this feature. The mobile app does have mic feature so you can perform audio talk. Something customers are very interested in. This would be a good feature request. What version of ACC 5 are you running? Every version supports pre or post motion detection. Enterprise supports alarm events. Not sure if this is supported with ONVIF cameras.
  6. Yup it definitely works without the server just need to add a SD card if you want recorded video.
  7. Edxqdt80Hm4 I've been researching this camera because I am looking at including one in my setup. My research has been limited to date, because that particular camera is new to the market and there are not a lot of reviews out there about them yet, but from reading the manual (Page 90) it appears to do exactly what the OP wants, in that it will detect a face and smart track in response to face detection. I don't own one yet, still need to sell the minister for finance on a AUD$2500 camera, and I know that in the past tracking has been a bit hit and miss, but it appears to work pretty well on this camera. One review I have seen is here. OP as people have rightly pointed out, that money can buy a lot of fixed cameras too. If you are protecting a fence line that is 75 feet long (22.5m or so) then four fixed cameras would give you excellent coverage with ID quality along it's length. The downside of that is you need to mount four cameras, run four cables, possibly put up four posts, your field of view is fixed, and your neighbour will need the same on his side of the road. If you do go the PTZ route I would consider some fixed cameras as well. As a minimum I would get a fixed camera that covers the PTZ camera, with the PTZ set up to turn to the mounting point of the fixed camera on video tamper/loss, just to make it more difficult for either camera to be messed with without getting some video of the offender. The problem with that clip is it's only one event and doesn't show how well the camera works 24/7 and in different weather conditions. Fixed cameras with a PTZ is the best option
  8. The Hikvision camera that was listed is not going to detect a face then zoom automatically. The camera does have a "smart tracking" feature where it can detect a person and then start tracking them but I have yet to see it work reliably. The feature you are looking for sounds great on paper but never works well in real life.
  9. Yes all H.264 Avigilon cameras have webGUIs you can access directly

In my experience the cars will have to come to a complete stop for 5 seconds or so to get a good shot. Controlling the lighting is key.

Instead of trying to explain to you it is better to just show you. If you want full HD on your client all the time click on the cog in the top right of the client software: then client settings> display At the bottom change Display Quality to MAX. This will give you the HD stream no matter what but if you have a lot of cameras you will start pushing your client computer because he will have to decode many HD streams at once. As for the recording you have to see it. Let the cameras record for a couple of hours and then click on the recorded tab. You can then click anywhere on the timeline and see recorded video instantly. You can also left client and hold and then scrub though all your recorded video and fast or as slow as you would like.

Well you should look a the recorded video as this is where Avigilon blows away Exacq. Also for one or 4 cameras HDSM is not that important on your LAN but when you have 50+ cameras it becomes very important. PM AK357 as might log in a give you the full demo which will show you how well it works.

Avigilon does not sell direct and doesn't have online sales. That is why there is no online pricing. I will send you a PM for price.

We just did this for a car dealer using 3 4K Avigilon cameras without the analytics.

http://avigilon.com/support-and-downloads/for-software/software-updates-and-downloads/ so far, not a fan of aviglion at all. picture quality doesn't look good, when i check the settings, quality is set to 1080p and quality was on 1 (best). doesn't look as good as it did in hikvision NVR or the browser. Are you looking at the camera in single view or matrix view? What you are seeing is HDSM Avigilons automatic stream manigment. Avigilon will automatically select the HD or low res stream from the camera depending on bandwidth, screen resolution and/or matrix view. When you switch to recorded video do you see the HD stream? Every Exacq customer we have we switched to Avigilon after they demoed Avigilon for 30 days. They where much happer with reviewing video and how much easier it is to use and manage.

I would recommend find a dealer that will just sell you the parts/licenses you are looking for. This way you have someone to answer questions when you have issues. Also have you looked at Avigilon? It works great with Hik cameras and has no recurring costs unlike Exacq plus you can search video much faster.
  17. "Multistreaming Support for IP Cameras The new Multistreaming feature of exacqVision 5 allows the ability to set multiple, independent video streams from the IP camera. Each stream can be set at different frame rates, resolution and quality level, ideal if you require remote viewing over a limited-bandwidth connection, but want to retain the highest resolution for recording and local viewing. Up to four streams per camera can be selected, depending on the IP camera model. In addition, up to eight ‘Region of Interest’ streams can be setup on select Arecont Vision cameras, allowing for true cropping of individual, independent streams, and a full realization of the benefits of multi-megapixel cameras. With exacqVision Multistreaming, all streams can be recorded, viewed live, saved to views, exported, and available in search and playback. All streams can be individually configured for recording schedules, storage rules and more. No additional licensing is required; the standard exacqVision camera license enables up to four video streams, and up to eight Region of Interest streams are available on Arecont Vision cameras. Supported IP cameras for multistreaming in Version 5 include Axis, Arecont Vision, Panasonic and ACTi, with more coming. Over 240 IP camera models are supported in multistreaming in this release, with more coming. Multistreaming is supported in exacqVision Pro, Enterprise, and Edge"
  18. What version of Exacq are you using?
  19. Exacq can do multiple streams from the cameras. This way you can set up local LAN video at HD res and stream remote will get the low res stream.

    250+ IP setup help

We have completed systems 4 times this size with Avigilon. Easy to use, no recurring fees and very reliable
  21. Well that certainly narrows it down to like.... Nothing but junk. Agree. Most of the VMS I found cost around $100/license. Do you know any solution with cheaper cost per license? I would go with the 4200 software if they insist but I would also give them a 30 demo of Avigilon. How are they going to use this system and who is going manage it.
  22. iVMS 5200 is not released yet in the US. iVMS 4200 works only with Hikvision cameras Luxriot = you get what you pay for. Are you the end user or installer?
  23. Where are you located and what industry is this for?
  24. I would also make sure your video card drivers are upto date.
  25. So you ordered one of these cameras from UBNT: https://www.ubnt.com/products/#all/surveillance If so they will not work with any VMS/NVR accept their own UBNT NVR
