  1. Hello, does anyone know the rtsp url for hikvision cameras? I have searched and searched... I found several but none of them worked. Anyone know? The camera model is CMIP8212 Thanks
  2. We just installed a new Dahua NVR at a school. The NVR loses its network connection every second or so when connected to the schools gigabit network. We know its the NVR losing network connectivity because we can ping the NVR and see it dropping. When we move the NVR and camera off the schools network and on to our own gigabit network the nvr and cameras work fine with no drops. The strange thing is that when we put an OLD model of dahua NVR on the schools network... It works FINE with no problems. We have tried a couple of the new model NVR's and they both do the same thing.... dropping network connection. Any suggestions?
  3. No, you cannot set that manually. They said it was set to auto... and there is nowhere in the gui to change it.
  4. Hello, does anyone have idea how to get started integrating with Dahua DVRs and NVRs? I need to create web based "cloud" solution that will grab the video from dahua DVRs or NVRs and restream it to my end users via browsers and mobile devices. I need to find the starting point for the integration? Would I have to contact Dahua and get their permission to do an integration? What I mean is... would I need their source code for the firmware to get started? Thanks
  5. I understand about transcoding of rtsp for IP cameras... But the cameras on these DVRs are analog not IP...
  6. Ahhh thank you so much. That is a big help! Any idea how they get the video from the dvr to play in flash player? I dont see anything about that in the sdk documentation. thanks again
  7. Thanks but we care actually trying to sort of copy what immix is doing. Trying to integrate a dahua dvr into our website like they do... Just looking for the starting place... I have no idea... I think we might actually have get a deal with dahua to allow us to do an integration... we might need the firmware source or something...
  8. Hello, we are using the sureview cloud right now... (immix) When you login to immix... You tell it the ip of your dvr click "get config" It will bring back all the camera names and you can check off the ones you want to add to the "site" you are creating. then when you create that site... your end users can view those camera via browsers and mobile devices.
  9. If anyone has any idea how to get started integrating with a dahua dvr please let me know
  10. Thanks for the reply... but we are trying to create a web based "cloud" that integrates with dahua dvrs and nvrs... We are not trying to just install their pss software... An actual cloud based video service that can connect to the video from dahua products...

    DVR with best image quality

Hello, 16 channels... any amount for good quality. I understand about the java and activex vs local quality... I am just saying those are features we need in the dvr. Thanks
  12. Hello, we have used GeoVision for the past 11 years but lately their quality has gotten horrible. We have some 7-9 year old GV servers that look crisp and clear compared to the new GV servers. Can anyone suggest a DVR with really clear picture? Also, we need to be able to embed the video into our web pages. We need a higher quality version like activex.... We also need a version that does not require the user to install anything... something like java etc. Thanks Kmax
  13. Yes. No problem. But our average client has less than 2 Mbps... and I dont see that changing for a long time.
  14. The reason we are still using analog is... bandwidth. Our customers typically have: * Roughly 1Mbps upload or less. * 16 Cameras. * Need at least 15 web based viewers at any given time. If anyone knows how to stream 16 ip cameras over 1Mbps to at least 15 viewers please let me know! I will gladly change to IP immediately.
  15. Does anyone know how the bandwidth of analog cameras converted to IP compare to actual IP cameras? We are looking to get the flexibility of IP with the low bandwidth of analog. Anyone have any info on this? Thanks
  16. Hello, I see people talking about how much bandwidth a certain camera etc is pulling... Is there a certain tool you guys use to check the performance of the LAN? To see how much bandwidth you actually have free on the LAN? How much the cameras are using etc? My web searches show that network performance monitoring software costs thousandsssss. I cant imagine cctv people like me are paying that much. Any suggestions? Thanks

    any certain models you use?
  18. If we try to view all cameras on our dahua nvr via the web it crashes... Even when trying to load the "second stream" or "sub stream". Anyone know of any other software that will play the video from dahua ip cameras and be stable?

GV 8.5.0 DSP OVERLAY Is Missing.

Hello, when I go to: AV Settings... DSP OVERLAY is not there so I can check it. Anyone know what may be going on? This is on windows 7 - 32 bit. Thanks
  20. Hello, does anyone know how to tell what baseline of h264 a dahua camera is using? They are asking us to use h264 baseline 3... All I see in the camera is: h264 b h264 h Thanks
  21. I am trying to use wowza for live streaming to iOS but it is VERY inconsistent. They ask me to set the "keyframe" to 1... In the dahua camera settings I see an "I-Frame Interval". Is that the same thing as keyframe?

    Dahua IP Camera - Keyframe

Thanks... honestly I dont fully understand. The guys at wowza are saying that since this camera does not have a "keyframe" setting, we can find out what our keyframe is by dividing I-Frame Interval (or GOP) by FPS. I-Frame Interval = 10 FPS = 5 Keyframe = 2 That sound right to you? Thanks again

    Dahua IP Camera - Keyframe

Do you know how to set the KEYframe on these cameras? Thanks
  24. I have my cam's second stream set to mjpeg but cant find a working url for it anywhere. I think i posted on here before asking about it... someone posted some links but none of them work. Anyone know if dahua support mjpeg or not? If so, what is the url? I have the snapshot url... which is just a link to a jpg. I am looking for the mjpeg url... thanks
  25. Hello, anyone know if it is possible to embed the video from a dahua DVR into your own web page? I know that to do this with the NVR you have to encode the RTSP to RTMP... But... is there a way to embed the activex video from the dahua DVR? Thanks
