  1. It has the same Xacti engine as VCC-HD2100/2300/2500. I did a job for customer last week with few 2300 models. Day time - very very good(with Fujinon megapixel lens), at low light - crap. Also, at 4mpix it gives just few fps. I set them to 2.1 to get 8fps. Overall its a good deal for that money.

    UTP over 1000FT

    Similar to NVT http://www.nitek.net
  3. You cant beat ACTi pricing, they are very cheap, especially with their great 420x cameras. They come with lens, bracket, pwoer supply, free software.
  4. Dont know, havent been interested in Vivotek, have seen their image quality....
  5. Yes I have. 1.22mpix CCD camera NIC836. Not bad for that money. I have posted some snapshots in snapshots topic here on forum.
  6. As long as its C/CS lense, you have to follow this rule: you cannot put smaller lense than cameras sensor, so lets say you have 1/2 Arecont which is 1:2=0,5 You have 1/3 lense which is 1:3=0,33 This lense is smaller than sensor, so, wont go together. Lens must be equal or bigger.
  7. They come with 8mm lenses in the box. MSRP is 2990$. By default its surface mount, but you can get wall or pendant mount, also outdoor heated/blowed housing, or recessed dome ring kit. http://arecontvision.com/index.php?section=product&subsection=product_details&product_id=24
  8. There arn`t a lot of settings to do Why dont you tell honestly that Arecont does motion blur like hell? Combine that with some F1.6 or F1.8 50m lense - oh yes, what a great image will we have
  9. I have sold two, installed on high street. Had no complaint in years time. Even Avigilon copied Areconts camera, so, must be good
  10. AV100 does work, but not best solution. Get something like Luxriot if you are on budget. Luxriot does work with cameras motion detection. Some say, better. But 2nd sensor is only 1.3mpix, not 3mpix. No, just removed usual power supply thing and other bits. Finally, avoid Arecont, they are crap at low light, really crap. 50mm lens will have high F number, so, not a lot of light coming in. Even worse picture.

PoE switch + X amount of Veracity Outreach devices and thats it. You need only ONE power outlet where to plug PoE switch in. You DO NOT need power outlet for each camera if you are using PoE enabled IP cameras.

    UTP over 1000FT

No, because of PoE on IP cameras.

    UTP over 1000FT

Soundy, that might be a choice if on budget, but every switch needs power outlet, not practical. Outreach doesnt need power outlet, its plug&play, it takes power from PoE. Little amazing device it is
  14. Do you have any NVR software like Luxriot, Excaq? Do a search in them, they might find. Or like he says, use ACTi camera utility. Are you on the same subnet?

    UTP over 1000FT

Yes, like I said - two. Never mind! Even twice http://img28.imageshack.us/img28/5233/sssigi.jpg http://img36.imageshack.us/img36/3441/sss2h.jpg It not cheapest way. If you have lets say 10 cameras, each 2 Outreach, 20 x 150$ = 3k

Yes, like I said - two.
  17. Thanks! The Basler cameras look amazing... how's their price point compared to the others? Yeaaa after IQ cams any camera will look amazing Sorry Soundy just could not hold it Whats the problem with IQ? They make quite good cameras by reviews.
  18. Thanks! The Basler cameras look amazing... how's their price point compared to the others? Expensive. It very high quality and made in Germany, like Mobotix. 1600x1200, 2mpix, true day/night, incl. lens DC-Iris-IR 1.4/10- 40mm, 1250Eur/1685$ MSRP. Their software is also woow. You can do all setting via IE. After Basler, next one as you saw comes IQ 752 in terms of image quality.
