  1. sorry i have not responded, but i will post which one i choose.
  2. The one I chose is also a CCD and isn't 1/3" better than 1/4" since it is bigger? The Aztak has 27 leds and the other one has 56 leds. But if you are implying that there would be no difference in performance, then the Aztak would be worth a try. Thanks Any other suggestions?
  3. any suggestions of a better wireless camera or just the receivers/transmitters? I would buy it and test if it was me, but my boss does not like the idea of waiting and testing. Which camera would any of you suggest? thanks.
  4. Im looking to out up one wireless camera at my place of work to view the outside side door. The distance the receiver and transmitter would be is about 50 feet max. I found one here: http://www.brickhousesecurity.com/wireless-outdoor-nightvision-camera.html any good?........ We already have a security system setup in place with a 16 ch dvr, and i just need to add another camera as wireless because of landlord issues with the cabling. I understand that I still need to run a power line to the camera itself, but I dont think that is a problem. Running the BNC cable would be a problem so therefore I need the a wireless setup. This camera has to be a night vision infrared camera because it would be used for recording after hours. Is the camera i linked any good? It looks like it would serve its purpose because I dont need it for long range. Any suggestions of a better wireless setup? The budget is pretty strict so I really do not want to go above the price of the camera I linked, but if you think it is worth posting it, then go ahead. Thank you for your time.
  5. Its working. turned out that our local printer/fax machine was missing the fax line bypasser thing for the dsl line and everytime we had a fax come in the internet shut off. so we figured that was why the dvr was freezing. i fixed it has been running all night no problems. thank you anyway for your suggestions as they are good to know.
  6. all power settings are set to never. no screensaver. a geforce 6200 video card. i had to go one by one trying old nvidia drivers until i got one that actually loaded the program and gave me picture. it is a dell inspiron 8300 system. 1 gig ram. mobo idk. 3.0 ghz cpu. idk what brand. local or external connections are the same result. i do not know the brand model of the DVR. the manual does not give a model no. I am using the software that originally came with the DVR. It is a pain in the *** to install and deal with. as i said b4 it is very sensitive to what video drivers are used.

  8. anyone? is it a router/modem problem? a setting i can change? anything?
  9. Can anyone help solve this problem? I am using the EnNet software to view my remote feed to my DVR. I finally got it to work. But it keeps freezing after 15-20 min of play time. How can i make the video stream not freeze without having to refresh it every 15 min? thx
  10. its a no name brand dvr. i do not have any documentation of the brand of the dvr because the installer did not supply us with it. so there is no work around? cant i just use the ip address, user name, password, and port number to login with on some other program? and btw the current software i have does not tell me which port it works on. can i find out some how with a certain type of software which port is being used when my current dvr program is running? thank you for your response.
  11. what is a cheap alternative new viewing software i can use to view my cameras? the software i ahve is giving me technical errors. since i need to use multiple monitors i need to have 2 vga cards. and my software goes crazy and gives me memory errors when two vga card drivers are intsalled. i need another program so that i can use with multiple monitors/cards. are there any softwares out there?
  12. would u like me to post up a picture when im done with my setup? im going to be using splitters for each feed, as three feeds will go to one room and another three to another room. is this a good splitter to use for my feeds? i cant post a link so it is at monoprice dot com model: 2-Way SVGA VGA Splitter Amplifier Multiplier 400 MHz - Black
