Currently, I'm testing such stack 2 x GV-2008 cards (also with MultiQuad card). Recording quality is much better than GV-1480 (MPEG2 makes the whole difference but the storage space needed is extremely high - you know, like DVD). CPU usage is of course lower, PC CPU is used only for live view and that's why live view quality is the same as in GV-1480. Personally, didn't notice any quality improvements here. But for perfetly clear live view I really recommend using GV-MultiQuad. It makes the whole difference.

So are you saying that the MultiQuad output looks better than the TV out on the Combo Card?

  2. VJD ..

If you use my Viewer with Geo, it supports 1, 4, 9 or 16ch full screen multiview (could easily be multisite 30+ cameras/sites depending on funding)

I could not get your viewer demo to connect. Looks interesting. I would like to check it out.

And using the Video Out from the Video card you can playback on a CCTV Monitor in full Screen Mode

But is the quality the same as the DSP output?

Also, does anyone have a link to an Aver Browser Demo?

I also noticed the NV5000 doesnt do 720x480, is 240/240 (so doesnt really compare to the GV-1480) and does it have a DSP Multiplexed Analogue output?

240/240? What are you referring to?

  3. NV5000 vs GV1480

What I like better about the NV5000:

    · Slightly better perceived remote view quality.

    · Remote client supports 1, 4, 9 or 16ch full screen multiview.

    · IP camera support.

    · Easily upgradeable for additional cameras. Low initial cost.

    GV1480

    · More features, options and software. If you are going to use them.

    · Much larger user base/community. Easier to get help from other users. (though kandcorp does a great job for Aver)

    · Easier to search through recorded footage. More polished interface.

    · Audio included. No extra cards to buy.

    · The deal breaker for me: highly configurable spot monitor out (though I wish you could watch recorded video). Aver could only scan through cameras.

I think the NV5000 is a good product, but for most of MY applications, Geovision is the way to go.

Compare the features and decide which are important to you. Either card is worth the money.

    imho

  4. No, not a Conspiracy Theorist.

Where did the plane full of people go if that was some missle or whatever.

They never seem to mention that in their rants. I have read pages of text going on and on about how it must have been a military jet, missile or drone plane but never once mention anything about what happened to that flight and the people on board.

I guess they just went through the Stargate.

  5. he needs to ask for a PM.............to a specific person. his above post asks openly. not trying to be a stickler but this forum is not a place for salemanship...it's for info and exchanging idea's. last thing I want to do is start a issue over prices because SOMEONE cries foul if they paid more than me, you....whomever.

    later..............

I was asking for me, not him......
