I never knew they existed. Funny that they use Dell boxes.
Checked with my dist. and as you would expect, very expensive.

Do you think a few weeks is realistic for the new hardware?
I assume they will cost more than the existing boards. Any idea how much more?

We have just completed an installation in the largest freezer in Europe (its massive). We used cameras from Extreme and their advice & service was excellent. As long as you budget for the special cameras there's np problem, but get your staff some thermals cos its cold work installing.Extreme told us that Maxwell House coffee use the same cameras as we have where they freeze dry the coffee & its constantly - 50.
Which cameras did you install?

Another fine example of a thread gone wild.
It's funny to watch is veer off topic slightly and then just go totally off the map, never to return

I have an installation that requires a camera in a walk-in freezer. I am looking at the Extreme CCTV EX14 and the Silent Witness Artic Hawk. Anyone have any experience with either of these cameras or have any other suggestions? I need to stay around the same price range as the above-mentioned cameras.
Are there any condensation or other installation issues to be worried about?
Thanks

In regards to Spytown...and not for nothing, but I WILL NOT buy anything security from a company that sells a "MoleChaser"!!! Their site also looks like the Sunday comics.Agreed.
They are really geared toward end users so you can't fault them for that. The only reason I had purchased from them in the past is that for a while they were a lot cheaper than ADI, Elcor, etc. I hated to buy from them because of what they were doing but sometimes the $ outweighs your principles.
Lately though their prices seemed to have creped up.

All LInksys Routers have Application and Gaming, for Port Forwarding.Right, but NOT private/public ports.
All you can do is forward a public port to an IP address. He needs to map a public port to a different private port and then forward to an IP address.

ADI customer service sux.The trick is to get to know your local associates. My local branch is extremely helpful.
What does piss me off though, is you would think that since they are so large that their prices would be pretty low. Not so. Sometimes they are much higher than others.
-
Well they do need some customer service training. We dealt with them once and was not impressed. I imagine they are some large company like ADI who also treats you like crap. They are actually quite small. I have been to their office a few times.
Never had any issues with them. I returned a portable monitor that I was not happy with and they exchanged it without a problem.
YMMV
