Disposable DVR's, cool!
-
Link to info on the SDIII technology.: ftp://ftp.panasonic.com/pub/Panasonic/cctv/SpecSheets/SDIII%20BrochurePrnt3105.pdf
Is this the first camera to have Auto Back Focus?
-
You might be thinking about a different model. I don't believe it is a network camera.
I have seen it retail for $425.
-
The biggest right now is a 500GB.
-
Has anyone used this camera yet?
Looks impressive.
-
I assume the reason you want to do this is because you already have the two drives?
-
They don't list the recording speed for some reason......
FredB, the ASD-1610 is listed as "new". Is that the model you installed?
-
One thing to keep in mind about Raid 0 is that it is not fault-tolerant. If one drive fails you lose ALL your data. Make sure you back up regularly!

-Lastly, my hand held radio, when pointed at it, would cause it to freak out...
Undocumented feature

Has anyone dealt with this company, do u guys think they are legit... the cost of gv-900 seems good to me... http://www.defencemeasures.com/gv248chpcidv.html#GV900-8 for $720? um, don't think so.

You're right, pretty cool.
How do you keep finding this stuff? You are definitely the link-master!
-
Did I miss something? Were you able to controll the camera or just watch a video file?

There is a couple of people here who have gotten the system that can tell you otherwise, so if you don't agree with something the way that is being shown, there are better and more proffesional ways to say it.I thought crap and sh*t were the same thing. I have recalled on numerous occasions your choice of words for Geovision and others.
I also think that there are more than "a couple of people" here that use Geovision systems that can tell you otherwise.
Come on Hermin, lets be fair here.
I have also checked out that demo and quite honestly was not impressed.(politically correct answer)
I'm sure I will be on Hermins crap list now! Oh well.

Plasma monitors have had that feature for years. Nothing new. It's been called pixel orbiter, screen orbiter, screen saver, etc. depending on the manufacturer.
First time I heard a plasma hyped as 'CCTV friendly" though. Interesting marketing slant.

I was ready to say no such thing, but here it is:

I don't know if you are going to find it for sale anywhere in the states though.

Hey Herm, definitely try and crack one of those puppies open. I am interested in what you think of the performance.

Anyone have any experience with Crest DVR's?
-
I believe HIKVISION uses it.
-
Rory,
Good find, looks interesting. Do you have any experience with this unit?
-
DVR_Expert,
How does the video look without the DSP Card? Is the frame rate or resolution affected?
-
-
You need the GV-DSP Real Time Display Card for video output.
