    Hikvision Gmail Email Not Working

    I have done this, and still with the same results. I feel like it's the DVR itself, the only problem is that it does not really provide clear feedback of the issue or what to do. Hikvision had no resolution when I emailed them either.
  2. I have a Hikvision DVR 9016HQHI-SH. Everything works great but in setting up the email notifications for alarms I am running into trouble. I am using a gmail account. I have attempted to setup the information based on gmail's instructions: https://support.google.com/a/answer/176600?hl=en I even went a further step in creating a two step verification app password as well with gmail: https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/185833?hl=en&authuser=1 I have attempted both types of resolutions to get the email to work, worked out numerous variations with port settings and still to no avail. I know I am on my network as I use IP cameras and they show up in the DVR. The same network is connected to the internet. However, I continually get the error: "Failed to send test email, please check the parameters or network status." Has anyone experienced this and have a solution? Also, is there a way to verify that the DVR itself is connected to the internet (I see no test button under the general network settings)? THANK YOU TO ANYONE WHO CAN FIGURE THIS OUT!!!
